I don't know how old this 9/11 slideshow is, but I had never seen it before. It is quite long but very worthwhile.

I still cry every time I watch it. My husband was across the river in Jersey City working 20 stories up and watched the plane fly into the second tower, something he can't ever get out of his head.

I kind of blew off the 9-11 remembrance this year with Katrina practically annihillating N'Awlins, but thanks for the reminder of what happened on that terrible day four years ago. Great post, Doug!

Thanks for the reminder, Doug... Very moving (as in the first time I saw it) but I must admit, my biggest reaction was when the slide of the little Middle Eastern kids with their smiles and fingers doing the "Victory" sign was shown. That's when I thought: we need to tune-up the Neutron Bomb. Sorry: just a visceral reaction.

Thanks for posting. I had lost this one - and I think it's the best of them.
I also saw a strangely touching video of burned documents that had fluttered down on the streets of Brooklyn when the towers collapsed. It sounds weird, but it had a real impact, because you thought of all the order and carefully structured civilization we have built up that the terrorists were trying to destroy.
