I never thought I would say this but, please pray for Bill Clinton's good health! We need him in 2008.

It is clearly time for Barbara Bush to come out with the tapes she made of Slick Willie when he was staying with them in Kennebunkport. You know the ones where they got Slickie drunk and then asked him probing questions about Monica, Whitewater, Hillary, Kosovo, what really happened when he tore up his leg/knee, and dozens of other great questions that we know he lied about originally. Since it is not hard to get the "creep" drunk I am not so sure that he would not tell all without the beer. After all to a narcissist, it is all about them. I hope they took notes. LOL!

That is a very good summary of what Col Hunt said basically the major looting and thieving was from gangs both inside and outside the State and the shooting was them competing against each other for the best pickings.

They took advantage of what they knew would happen during this tragedy that the focus would be on rescuing those who did not make it out of the city before the flood.

I think also I am correct if not I am sure someone will correct me that Blanco also had not given permission for the Guard to act as Law Enforcement so with the police weakened the gangs rang amok.

I see why GW picked Allen. He handles the press well, he is real PC and knows just what to say. He will get the job done.

It always saddens me that he won the female vote he always gave me the creeps and gave me the impression of a second hand car salesman.

Give me Bush and Cheney any day over Clinton and Gore and I say that from a female perspective as well as a political one.

I remember few positives about Brazile, she was usually a rabid Clintonista. She may be trying a little triangulation right now. 'Let's play all sides when it's expedient'. Sounds like she wants something real bad.

When Iraq has come up on shows today, its just been sniping from the left about "the horrible uptick in the 'insurgency'", and "the bad headlines that would be coming out of Iraq if NO wasn't on the front pages"

NO ONCE, did ANYONE feel the need to explain that the most recent 'uptick' is a direct result of MAJOR arse-kicking operation with thousdands of Iraqi troops combined with our forces on the Syrian boarder.

Nope, no need to mention that the Z-man even released a message 'threatening chemical attacks' if we didn't leave his stronghold alone. No word of the 400+ terrorists killed and 300+ captured, not to mention the bomb factories and huge weapon caches we found.

The recent 'uptick' is what the Zarqawi himself called "the final battle"... hes getting hit HARD... but no... only the "uptick in the insurgency" is worth mention......

I wouldn't view so much as a permission item, as an "assignment" item. Blanco's first reaction was to order the NG under her command to perform search and rescue.

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 31
Morning
Governor Blanco called for a total evacuation of the city of New Orleans. In an interview on Good Morning America, the Governor said "We've sent buses in. We will be either loading them by boat, helicopter, anything that is necessary." When asked about looting the Governor said "We don't like looters one bit, but first and foremost is search and rescue.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 2
"You know the reason why the looters got out of control?" Nagin said. "We have most of our resources saving people. They were stuck in attics, man, old ladies. You pull off the doggone ventilator and look down and they're standing there in water up to their fricking neck."

Watching CG's Allen on MTP -- impressed with his responses to Timmy's baiting. Pretty obvious that the mayor is at odds with Allen with regard to reentry. Need basic infrastructure up and running, and a realistic evacuation plan in place in the event that another storm comes their way. Tim's baiting him with why aren't all areas entered three weeks after the storm and why 2,500 children still not reunited with family. (To the first, Allen responds that weren't able to enter St. Bernard parish until yesterday due to water. To the second, I heard that the data base of children has not been updated due to some reunions not reported and the actual number now is down to 250 children.)

Looking at Allen's uniform, it appears he's got wings on the uniform on the left side. Is he a flyer?
