Stung by the success and resilience of the patriotic counter-demonstration by Freepers of Code Pink's ghoulish 'antiwar' protests outside Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., Code Pink leader Gael Murphy and a couple Pinkos distributed flyers door to door to the houses in a several block area around Walter Reed urging residents to call the police in order to run off the D.C. Chapter from there.
The two sided flyers featured a graphic promoting the 'antiwar' activities in Washington next weekend on one side and a letter from Code Pink to the residents in the Walter Reed neighborhood on the other.
The letter is typical Code Pinko propaganda. They give the residents their same old line about they care for the soldiers, blah, blah, blah. They don' t tell them that Code Pink endorsed Al Qaeda in Iraq and gave $650,000 to the terrorists in Fallaujah.
In the letter, they also warn the residents to expect a much larger crowd next Friday because of the 'antiwar' rally.
Code Pink closes the letter by accusing us of "disrupting the quiet" of the neighborhood because we "often yell and raise (our) voices in anger" at Code Pink.
Code Pink then tells the residents, "Please know that you can contact the Washington DC Police Department to ask that peace and quiet be restored."
Unfortunately for Code Pink, the D.C. noise ordinance doesn't apply until 10 p.m. Being that we have a demonstration permit and only use our unamplified voices to direct our comments across the street, our activities fall under First Amendment protections.
Also, out of respect for the neighbors, we keep it down after 9 p.m. (One of the two corners we stand at is in front of the end of a block of row houses. The other corner is in front of a parking lot for a church that doesn't hold services Friday evenings.)
Code Pink, of course, cares nothing for the 'quiet' of the soldiers and their families as they try to put their lives together at Walter Reed. They care only about lowering morale and trying to bring about the defeat of America in the war.
Code Pink can't beat Freepers mano a mano, so they tried a sneaky trick to get us run off by the police.
It is worth noting that yet again a Code Pinko came across the street and tried to start a fight. The 'man' chickened out and went back to his corner when bmwcyle informed him that the police had told us to call them if any of the Code Pinkos came across the street to harrass us.
My guess would be they want the army to disband. :) Saying they support the troops is a huge lie.
Quiet Zone at their 'peace vigil'? Yet they have a guitar player and they sing hippie songs?
Yuck. I wish those pinko jerks would leave our wounded soldiers alone.
This is arguably the best tagline on FR.
Seems to me that we are getting under their skin....
You Go Freeper!!!!
LOVE the crumpled flyer look.
Keep up the good work Brother!
Late getting your book back to you. I'll try to have it in the mail early next week.
Did you notice that unions are listed amongst the peace groups.
If you see any fire fighters try to identify a local # or an IAFF symbol. I want to know whose there.
Take care and my prayers for a successful day.
Thanks for getting this posted so quickly!
We do not condone throwing things or violence of any kind. We have truth and respectability on our side. We don't need to resort to their tactics.
If you remember, a lady LEO finally told Gael to get back on the other side of the street where she belonged.
LOL
"Anti-war" = Pro-terror
Cry babies.
I like the way you think...
Nice to see you again tonight!
Just means you're getting under their commie skin.
their letter reads, at Paragraph 2: "... the wounded who being treated at Walter Reed..." maybe one of the "union groups" is the NEA?
The only "sharp edge" we need is large numbers of patriots to stand in the streets and attend rallies to physically demonstrate our support of the troops and the President, rather than thousands of tough-talking keyboard warriers and a couple dozen folks actually out on the streets making a difference.
Ideally, they'd leave all our troops alone, but the wounded are especially vulnerable.
Good to see you too.
"Bush is going to close Walter Reed and "...the good jobs will be gone."
They don't care two cents about Walter Reed closing. They only care about themselves and their opinions.
BTW, Squeegee Boy got at least a talking to by a police officer tonight. Probably for playing in traffic, but I couldn't tell as they were across the street.
It's worse than that. This all boils down to their fear that the Bush administration is going to take away their "right" to have an abortion by appointing "originalists" to the Supreme Court. Nothing more. That's all this is about. Abortions.
Good to hear from you. I'll keep an eye out. SEIU is the union in D.C. that's most active in protesting here.
