Stung by the success and resilience of the patriotic counter-demonstration by Freepers of Code Pink's ghoulish 'antiwar' protests outside Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., Code Pink leader Gael Murphy and a couple Pinkos distributed flyers door to door to the houses in a several block area around Walter Reed urging residents to call the police in order to run off the D.C. Chapter from there.
The two sided flyers featured a graphic promoting the 'antiwar' activities in Washington next weekend on one side and a letter from Code Pink to the residents in the Walter Reed neighborhood on the other.
The letter is typical Code Pinko propaganda. They give the residents their same old line about they care for the soldiers, blah, blah, blah. They don' t tell them that Code Pink endorsed Al Qaeda in Iraq and gave $650,000 to the terrorists in Fallaujah.
In the letter, they also warn the residents to expect a much larger crowd next Friday because of the 'antiwar' rally.
Code Pink closes the letter by accusing us of "disrupting the quiet" of the neighborhood because we "often yell and raise (our) voices in anger" at Code Pink.
Code Pink then tells the residents, "Please know that you can contact the Washington DC Police Department to ask that peace and quiet be restored."
Unfortunately for Code Pink, the D.C. noise ordinance doesn't apply until 10 p.m. Being that we have a demonstration permit and only use our unamplified voices to direct our comments across the street, our activities fall under First Amendment protections.
Also, out of respect for the neighbors, we keep it down after 9 p.m. (One of the two corners we stand at is in front of the end of a block of row houses. The other corner is in front of a parking lot for a church that doesn't hold services Friday evenings.)
Code Pink, of course, cares nothing for the 'quiet' of the soldiers and their families as they try to put their lives together at Walter Reed. They care only about lowering morale and trying to bring about the defeat of America in the war.
Code Pink can't beat Freepers mano a mano, so they tried a sneaky trick to get us run off by the police.
It is worth noting that yet again a Code Pinko came across the street and tried to start a fight. The 'man' chickened out and went back to his corner when bmwcyle informed him that the police had told us to call them if any of the Code Pinkos came across the street to harrass us.
Come for the big rally, what a better time to meet as many of the DC Chapter as possible. We do really need lots of people to counter these numb-skulls!
Apparently they aren't aware of any time difference between here and Germany. When your plane takes off in the morning from overseas, and flies all day, you don't get to the US until late evening. Maybe we should leave the soldiers in the comforts of the troop transport plane until morning. What a brilliant idea!
Gee, if they're so supportive of our troops, why didn't they give their $600K donation to OUR SIDE in Iraq???
Inquiring minds...
LOVE IT!! ROFLOL!!
That looks a little too "rich" in hue, might be a Photoshop job. Even the pavement looks like it might have some pink in it here and there.
This is typical. They are all for free speech until the are confronted with opinions that are different from their own.
That really makes me a little bothered. I was very reserved when I told them to dream about Zarqawi as they were packing up to leave yesterday. I really, really tried not to make them whine and hurt their feelings.
It's the same in the world's second most powerful city... Sacramento!!!
(Powerfulness based on number of special interest lobbying firms headquartered there.)
Then he's FINISHED.
Congrats from someone who's been finished for 36 years.
May the best days of your past, be the worst days of your future.
How does the new Mrs. feel about FReeping? ;*)
As the "neighborhood" is a somewhat confined area, why don't one of you DC Freepers create your own flyer, outing Code Pink, ratting on them about their support of Al Qaeda, and put these flyers in the mailboxes of the surrounding neighborhood (just a few blocks in the immediate vicinity would do). And of course, tell them what you, as good patriots, believe and why you are protesting. You could also tout Free Republic (and give them the website address on the flyer). Fight fire with fire, and get FR's name around out there. A copy machine and computer to do the flyer on and you are in business. Plus minimal legwork, just hitting the nearby homes.
The city should tell us all to take it somewhere else. We are getting reports the guys and gals are very excited and cheer when they know we are there.
Sarcasm on!
Go get 'em CBob. You da man. Tjanks again for the ride to my Hotel.

I thought the Code Pink flyer made them look more foolish than usual. Did Rove write it?
I don't like being lied about either.
Code Pink stinks as it sinks lower into slime.
