Hi, all. We had a great time Freeping the Cindy Tour. I think they were a little surprised when they pulled up in their rented RV and saw all of us waiting for them. I was really encouraged at our turnout. I think we had between 25 & 30 and the Cindinistas had about 30. Since we were the first group there, we had picked which side of the Market House area we wanted. Naturally, we chose the shady side, leaving them to the mercy of the sun. The Cindinistas were also a little upset when they couldn't pull their vehicles in on the side where we were to unload all of their signs. I suggested they carry them like I did. The police must have told them the same thing as they didn't pull in to unload. Some of their group didn't even hold signs but just stood there giving the "peace sign" to persons driving by. There were a couple of them who tried to get into arguments with us but they were hustled away by the LE. The Cindinistas' permit was only for 1 hour, so we watched them leave and cheered them on their way with me telling them that "Pacifists are terrorist allies." Several persons were interviewed by the press. I know that Channel 11 had Gilbert Baez there. He never came by our side. He stayed over on the lefty side the whole while he was there. I think the media that came to our side were all from the print media. I told several on our side to check out FreeRepublic.com when they asked how we had organized. It was just a bunch of fun.
Fayetteville Online Story - Iraq war divides protesters at Market House http://www.fayettevillenc.com/story.php?Template=news&Story=7170245
There is a link to the newspaper article about this rally in the post immediately preceding this one. I did it as a practice to make sure it would come through okay. There are also other pictures that are linked to the article. Most of the pics are of the Moonies. That's just par for the course with the paper here.
Not to mention that inhaling paint fumes would make you loopy - and then you might have accidentally joined the wrong crowd.
Are you coming up to DC next weekend? We need "veteran rallyers" like you up here.
What a bold faced lie! They have the same goal, demoralize the soldiers, demoralize the country, demorize those who support the troops.
Thank you for showing up. This witch in the ditch needs to be protested at EVERY stop. Our message is getting out also....not just theirs.
Great FReep and report! Well done!
I agree that the boots should not have been taken, but neither should the other stuff. However, it's not clear to me that it necessarily was a pro-Iraq liberation person who took them.
In DC, we've had leftists try to infilitrate our FReeper group with "Kill the Poor" signs. (We have photo and audio proofs.) Then, the Pinkos claim that the inappropriate signs on their side were held by infilitrators, implying us, but we produce photos showing that one of their protest leaders was holding the objectionable "Maimed for a Lie" sign. (Thus, they falsely accused us of doing what they did.)
Code Pink and other leftists have commited numerous other dirty tricks within our knowledge. We've seen Code Pinkos attach their signs and banners to a person's car, without permission, when he was in Walter Reed. They repeatedly and illegally attach their signs to the WR fence, military property where such political signs are prohibited.
Thus, although it's possible that some over-zealous and misbehaving yahoo on the pro-America side stole the boots and other items, it's also quite possible that leftists did it for the publicity and to discredit the pro-America side.
Do you see what has happened? We have turned a corner in our counterprotesting. We are now considered "equals" that are dueling or divided. We used to get a mention as a few counter protestors, but now our presence is so well established that we have become one side of the "dueling protestors".
We should have a celebration!
We Freepers have to work hard to keep the PW's from getting lynched by both sides.
Yeah. When they read his sign you could see the light bulb come on. It was one of their slogans about war has never solved anything but etc. At first I had actually thought he was one of them. I looked at his NC State cap and read his sign and new what he was about. He was a nice young fellow who was studying Turf Management and was picking up some business courses at Fayetteville State. I was going, "He's got a Protest Warrior sign. He's one of us."
I soooo much wish I could be there. I had to ask out of work today for a family reunion and have another one on Saturday the 24th. I had to arrange to get that day off too. Unfortunately, when one is a demo-lady at Sam's, one has to work just about every weekend. I knew that when I went to work there. It's not often I ask for a day off on a weekend. I've just hit them with these which unfortunately come right on top of each other. Boy, I sure do wish I could do it. I love to rabble rouse. LOL!!!!
BRAVO!!!!
Suggested Cindy Sheehan Freeper sign:
"Cindy: First Rid Your Head of Occupying Extraterrestrials."
Let us pray. Dear Gaia, we pray that no one caught us pilfering the memorial. Amen.
Okay, time to "file the report".
"a poor player/ That struts and frets his hour upon the stage/ And then is heard no more. It is a tale/ Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,/ Signifying nothing"
Yep. But let's quit calling it "Camp Casey". It was "Camp Look-at-me-Cindy-Sheehan".
Good Point. Someone needs to tell Cindy that she's at 14:58 and ticking.
