Report: Fayetteville (N.C.) Freep of the Cindy Tour
dstarr

Posted on 09/16/2005 12:37:33 PM PDT by dstarr

Hi, all. We had a great time Freeping the Cindy Tour. I think they were a little surprised when they pulled up in their rented RV and saw all of us waiting for them. I was really encouraged at our turnout. I think we had between 25 & 30 and the Cindinistas had about 30. Since we were the first group there, we had picked which side of the Market House area we wanted. Naturally, we chose the shady side, leaving them to the mercy of the sun. The Cindinistas were also a little upset when they couldn't pull their vehicles in on the side where we were to unload all of their signs. I suggested they carry them like I did. The police must have told them the same thing as they didn't pull in to unload. Some of their group didn't even hold signs but just stood there giving the "peace sign" to persons driving by. There were a couple of them who tried to get into arguments with us but they were hustled away by the LE. The Cindinistas' permit was only for 1 hour, so we watched them leave and cheered them on their way with me telling them that "Pacifists are terrorist allies." Several persons were interviewed by the press. I know that Channel 11 had Gilbert Baez there. He never came by our side. He stayed over on the lefty side the whole while he was there. I think the media that came to our side were all from the print media. I told several on our side to check out FreeRepublic.com when they asked how we had organized. It was just a bunch of fun.

Thank you Angelwood. It actually was in April 2004. The last year was hard but this one is going much better. I have a confession to make to you. I was up there in DC last Sept at the Viet Nam Veterans Rally. I didn't recognize you because you had lost so much weight. I, on the other hand, have put weight on that I'm now trying to get rid of. I don't know how you did it. I wish I could get rid of mine.

Great story! I remember a rattlesnake sign out by Pecos near Judge Roy Bean's store. When my boys were young, they loved it out West.

And yes, yes, yes..... buffaloes are meaner than dirt when provoked in any way! And heaven help you if you have to work them in a pen!! Hope you still have the picture!

Paging Dennis Kyne! Paging Denis Kyne! They undoubtedly "stole" it them themselves to attempt to get back in the headlines.

(They do it all the time.)

He was buried in his boots. They could not have been stolen.

Remember, they always steal their own stuff for headlines and Ebay.

From what I've read I understand they were "props". I'm pretty sure she has his real boots.

Is there any way that someone in the area (Crawford) could look up the police report and investigate this?

If it's even true. I'm of the opinion like some are that perhaps the county came by and "cleaned up".

Here's an article from the Crawford paper. Just located it:

http://198.65.14.85/News/2005/37-38/37news10.htm

This sentence from it is funny:

"Following the tedious report given to the officer, honor guard members began to disassemble the poles of the pavilions tent that stood over the tent of Cindy Sheehan—the single item left at the site."

"tedious" hee hee!

"They really shouldn't have stolen her son's boots"

As IF they were her sons boots!! You're usually buried with them on.

The officers were right between the two groups. They sat or stood in the central area under the Market House. At first they took a young fellow over to the lefty side but brought him back to us in a few minutes. Some on our side were saying that he belonged with the lefties and pointing to his sign. I looked at his sign and he had a Protest Warrior type sign that he had made. I had to tell them he was one of us. "Read his sign carefully." Then they got IT.

You guys sure had fun up there in Berkley East. I've read the thread. I think we all got the best of the Moonbats.

I didn't get to make the smaller MOABs that I was going to make. It stayed too windy down here for me to do it outside. I rent so I didn't want to use spray paint inside.

I enjoyed seeing you again. Keep in touch. We sure did "dust" them. They were totally unprepared for how many we had there and that they didn't get their pick of the shade or the sun. I thought the woman was going to explode when I told her that for unloading, they should just park and haul it like I did.

I started to laugh at the part where the three persons "wept." That is just so lame and theatrical.
