Located at the mouth of Mississippi River, the Port of New Orleans is Americas gateway to the global market. New Orleans has been a center for international trade since 1718.
Today, the Port of New Orleans is at the center of the worlds busiest port complex Louisianas Lower Mississippi River. Its proximity to the American Midwest via a 14,500-mile inland waterway system makes New Orleans the port of choice for the movement of cargoes such as steel, grain, containers and manufactured goods.
The Port of New Orleans is the only deepwater port in the United States served by six class one railroads. This gives port users direct and economical rail service to or from anywhere in the country.
New Orleans is one of Americas leading general cargo ports. A productive and efficient private maritime industry has help produce impressive results, including the USAs top market share for import steel, natural rubber, plywood and coffee.
In the last 10 years, the Port of New Orleans has invested more than $400 million in new state-of-the-art facilities. Improved breakbulk and container terminals feature new multipurpose cranes, expanded marshalling yards and a new roadway to handle truck traffic.
Maritime activity within the Port of New Orleans is responsible for more than 107,000 jobs, $2 billion in earnings, $13 billion in spending and $231 million in taxes statewide.
The Port of New Orleans has also been a defined area where foreign merchandise gets brought into the country without being immediately subject to the usual U.S. Customs regulations!!!
hey BB, you are onto something here. Quick fill out a patent form and let's get this to market!
Lassie Bon Tom Rollie!
You accuse me of stealing someone's money and then you admit that you don't even know what you are talking about.
True socialist mindset.
Another text twister!
Thanks for playing!
That's right! I heard that Raising Cane's has opened up all of it's restaurants. It's not Popeye's but it's pretty good so the folks doing the cleanup have a little bit more than MRE stuff.
What these whiners don't understand is the people from there are fairly fiesty and stubborn. If you tell them it can't be done or it's not possible they will prove you wrong.
Whoa nelly! I was the one who had the idea. However, I would be willing to share any royalties with Blurblogger if he actually came up with a method of ftp that worked.
The nerve!
Faxing myself now to settle this.
Hah!
While you two were squabbling about infrastructure and ports and downloads and patent royalties I've been munching pizza, from port 25.
You CAN download pizza but you need a special monitor and mouse.
Order yours today! Just FReepmail me $999.99 in small unmarked bills.
I'll ship yours out by reply email, you'll be FTPing Nawlins jambalaya in virtually no time at all....
Plus, you can also be assured that the only email Spam you get in the future, is REAL Spam! ACT NOW!
;^)
That is true. It won't be long before the gumbo pots start simmering again.
Neither pizza or jambalaya are my thing. However if you could see your way to guaranteeing delivery of either James Coney Islander hotdogs or most anything on the menu at Tony's in Houston, I might be persuaded to fedex you a certified cashier's check or if you insist, your small unmarked bills. I just hate dealing with small bills as they are so bulky and I have to resort to spending more on a larger fedex package.
Are you really with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation?
"Are you really with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation? "
LOL
The other points you made in your posts were spot on. But on this one, you're WAY off the mark.
If you want a Google GMail account, FReepmail me.
They're going fast!
So it would seem. :-(
That person did not twist your words. You claimed at #210 that not going through with Bush's plan would amount to the federal government reneging on insurance obligations, and then failed to back that up when challenged.
Sure that was a text twister. The poster said I accused him of theft.
Reneging on insurance claims is not accusing *him* of theft.
;)
Misspoke. Meant lighter than say, me.
HY was someone who might pass for white.
>>>Misspoke. Meant lighter than say, me.
Like I can see you ^-^
>>>HY was someone who might pass for white.
Got it now, thanks.
>.quadroon was supposed to have 1/4 caucasian blood and someone who was octoroon was 1/8.
