Yes, she is my candidate also. She would be perfect on so many different levels. She is a real conservative, I know others are also. However, she is intelligent, articulate, attractive, cool under pressure and she just happens to be an African-American.

The news clips of the bloated Senator Ted "the leering drunk" Kennedy berating her on civil rights, feminist and economic issues would be priceless. She is the daughter of sharecroppers and has achieved professional glory without government handouts and affirmative action policies.

I want to hear Senator Turbin tell her that she cannot relate to the poor, downtrodden and minorities. I want Senator "Plagerizer" Biden to tell her that she has no idea what it takes for the under priviledged to be successful in America. And then I want all America to see how all the DemoRats "beat up" on a friendly, intelligent, articulate, attractive black woman.

I hope Bush "jams" the DemoRats and nominates her. My fingers are crossed.

Why don't we just fence them in like the Palestinians
and be done with it !A forty foot wall around New York City sounds good and we could move the freaks from Gaytown
to Oakland and blow up the bay bridge .

PS The editors of the New Republic have endorsed Roberts for confirmation "with reservations"!

According to the article's headline and pre-login summary

http://tnr.com/user/nregi.mhtml?i=20050926&s=editorial092605

Mister Roberts
by the Editors
Post date 09.15.05 | Issue date 09.26.05

During the confirmation hearings of John Roberts, Democratic senators on the Judiciary Committee were palpably uncomfortable. They had before them a conservative nominee whose political history concerns many liberals; but the Republicans won the last election, the wages of Ohio sat before them, and this able and judicious nominee is as much in the way of right-wing moderation as they could expect. Roberts is indubitably the lesser of conservative evils. As one commentator sagely observed, Roberts is not the man whom liberals would have chosen, but he is not the man whom liberals feared....

Doesn't help us much if Roberts isn't enough of an originalist to uphold serious abortion restrictions.

To even begin knocking Roe into the ground, we need BOTH
appointees to be solid originalists. Roberts' testimony
has not been reassuring. If he turns out to be solid,
great. If not, Bush has failed badly on the most important domestic issue of his presidency.

But I would like to see him on a court somewhere. He deserves it. I think whatever happened was unfair to him. Anyone who can put up with the MSM moonbats for a year without ever losing his cool has demonstrated that he has whatever is needed in the way of judicial temperament.
