Personally I wouldn't want this much money just handed out, but given the size and scope of the port that was New Orleans, we, in the end, will need it.
IF the IG is anywhere need experienced and capable, there is a chance the money could get where it needs to go.
But I also think we need to build a backup receptical for GOM and Persian Gulf oil tankers too.

And probably hundreds of billions of new spending that should have been taken out of the multi-hundred billion dollar construction boondoggle he signed this year, but won't be.
The former republican governors here have been working on a plan for an independent oversite commission and they have been working with the president in order to keep the crooks from robbing us blind. He's being given the dirt.

It won't help him, but maybe it will help blacks. They're only 12% of the population, but a major percentage of our problems (crime, poverty, etc.). Until they get themselves together and do something about it, it's going to weigh us all down. He's trying to get them to stop being Dem clients and stand on their own two feet, giving them genuine help and not handouts. That's not the "race card."
