9 P.M. EDT.
You forgot the part about how he didn't build a wall high enough to keep hurricanes out.
good.
what a friggin moron.
There are quite a few others on here disagreeing with the President, but they aren't calling him Dumya.
That was absolutely over the top.
WOW.....you might consider a name change from 'mercy' to 'no mercy'....it fits better.
And it's not so funny to see so many "conservatives" cheering as more nails are pounded into the movement's casket. FDR is looking down and smiling.
For the poor and Black population of N.O. who got through this with no loss of family, I think they will end up being better off in the long run.
It's hard to get out of a morass you've been in a long time, especially if you don't have much money or education.
I think Texas is gonna inherit a lot of this population...I just hope we get the good ones.
"The guy is spending money like a drunken sailor. Unbelievable"
I'm sure the RATS will be foaming at the mouth demanding that if this all this money is to be spent on the Gulf coast then the Iraq war will have to end sooner.
tiki, I am beyond cautious about politicians, so when I tell you, that I totally trust Haley Barbour, I am serious. I am certain he is an HONEST man.
Sounds like the democrats are fighting among themselves....Pussy-Galore has not appointed her eight member to the committee to help with the recovery. Hassert has the power to do so, if she doesn't move on it......VERY interesting.
Hassert: It's time to get this job done.....Get the economy going again...Get past the finger pointing/political bias has got to stop....We need bi-partician support to do it....Republican member will be appointed next week.
Livingston was great..."you liberals" to Alan. That will get some mileage.
We shall see. Remember in the 1980s when Philadelphia mayor Wilson Goode had a standoff with the radical group MOVE and he dropped a bomb on their house, resulting in the neighborhood burning down? Very similar. Poor, predominantly black families left homeless, politician blamed, responded by offering unprecedented government largesse to rebuild better than ever. But the new homes were crap, built by contractors selected for political reasons rather than best value, and I dont recall hearing a lot of positives ever. Hope this doesnt go the same way.
See ya... have fun at DU or where you end up...
I have no doubt .. but Mary has no choice
Everyone has been looking into the Fraud that occurred in LA
Which explains what the President will have a team of inspector generals over seeing the money
You need to go to bed.
Wow you are taking a beating tonight! It's ok I still luv ya hon!
I know and wasn't it delightful? ABC's interviews of evacuees were supportive of the President. Tim "dirtboy" Russert is the only pundant who is glaringly, gleefully and consistently doing negative reports about the President.
TIM RUSSERT MAKES ME SICK AND HAS LOST NOT ONLY HIS OBJECTIVITY, BUT HIS CREDIBILITY.
I certainly hope Tim thinks hob-nobbing with the liberal elite and getting invited to all of their parties are worth slant-drilling this President and painting him in the most unfavorable light possible. The only way I'll forgive Tim is if his kid has been kidnapped and he's been forced to regurgitate the libs hate speech in order to make his family whole again....
For you reaction.
>>Springfield.<<
Ahhhhh!
I'm from Ohio and now stuck in the Murder Capital of the USA. Detroit.
I really want to go home.
But I have to say that the more north you go, the more lib it is.
Yeah. You worked for Bush.
Sheesh!!!
Our President gave a wonderful Address tonight. He is truly the right man for the difficult times we are living in. If I had lost everything I had in this life, I would welcome every opportunity to learn a new trade to help rebuild my city and my life and hope for my family. I can only hope that these people living in poverty for so long would jump on every chance they have to change their lives and also reach some personal fulfillment by working hard to rebuild their lives and their city. There is no doubt in my mind if everyone does their part, they can rebuild. They must work hard though, and those that don't should be ashamed.
