Does one single Democrat in the nation ever wonder why every single Republican gets tarred with the racist brush? I recall an article in the WSJ before the elections -- it said the constant cries of "Racist!" are even worse in Dem ads (which are frequent) on BET and other black-oriented media than the ones you see in the MSM.

What witnesses? Only ones I have heard so far are the ones who worked with Judge Roberts. All the witnesses against him are ones who the DNC are using through Pay Pal/MSM. All these rude and disrespectful witnesses will crawl back under-their rocks until the next session for the next SCJ. Then it will be big explosions and dirty throwing.

Scott Ritter is the WMD/ Burger King guy.
I saw Crier on H & C last night. Sean was outraged at her book, said he was dumbfounded to find out how she thought about conservatives. He actually did a pretty good job of going against her.
By the way, Crier is looking less attractive. Her chin seens to be getting more prominent and witch-like. Must be all that venom seeking an outlet.

Arlen is responsible for Justice Kennedy instead of Justice Bork, but he did save the Thomas nomination. He's been solid during these hearings. The President was very shrewd to support Arlen and back him for the Chairmanship -- Arlen will now be an asset to the President instead of a liability.

Not to be a smart ass, but there's NO explaining those females.
I cannot begin to understand their thinking.

Botelho talking about Robert's visit to Alaska I got a tear in my eye when he spoke of John Roberts reply at 2:00 am the morning after his nomination to the Supreme Court saying he could think of no better use of his time than the meet with the Alaskan Boy Scouts.
How incredibly humble - the antithesis of Biden, Schumer and Kennedy.

Is it supposed to be empowering to be allowed to decide to kill or not to kill your own baby? I remember reading a column by someone who was one of the first people to use RU-486, the abortion pill(s).
She said she felt empowered. She was so "up" about using RU-486, that it seemed her motto should be....
"I got my kicks
on RU-486."

I am in total agreement with you, Sir.
What is this pathetic man's business at this hearing?
If it's to garner pity, he's failed.
This man wants to STACK the court.
What are they afraid of?
Key role of SCOTUS is to PROTECT civil rights!

Roberts is so good that he's even silenced those Freepers who were whining that he'll be another Souter.
To: defconw
Jackson said he isn't testifying against Roberts so much as he is testifying in favor of a nominee who would be open to civil rights concerns.
Roderick Jackson:
"I feel like this is just my civic duty to go before the committee and answer their questions," Jackson said. "I'm very honored they would consider a lay person like myself." A divided Supreme Court sided with Jackson earlier this year in deciding a federal law against gender discrimination extended legal protection to male employees who complain about mistreatment of female athletes.
