The Dem playbook

The Hill newspaper gives us a peek at the Democratic playbook for the Roberts hearings. Below are the attack assignments for the Democratic members of the Committee:

Kennedy -- civil rights

Leahy -- Bybee torture memo

Biden -- privacy, personal autonomyand the 9th Amendment

Kohl -- Property rights and civil liberties

Feinstein -- "judicial activism" and Roe vs. Wade

Feingold -- limits of executive powers

Schumer and Durbin have wisely refused to show their hand.

Apparently Kennedy has forgotten that the Democrats were AGAINST The Civil Rights Act and if not for Republicans, it would not have been passed.

His historical amnesia goes a lot farther than that, doesn't it? Back to before the Civil War.

Yes- there is a question. What goes through the minds of the citizens of Massachusetts every six years when they re-elect this man?

It is amazing how Kennedy has to read almost every word from his "script," and leaves little time for Roberts to respond and almost talks on top of Roberts comments, and sometimes cuts him off before he has finished his reply. Kennedy always seems like he has the DT's, and is in a rush to get to the bar (and not the legal one, LOL). He knows he has few opportunities to grandstand anymore, few even listen to him. Like the loud old drunk in the room, he is tolerated, but ignored.

Teddy must not have quality staff writing his questions - he is lost in such a time warp - one would think it is still the 1950s.
