The Dem playbook
The Hill newspaper gives us a peek at the Democratic playbook for the Roberts hearings. Below are the attack assignments for the Democratic members of the Committee:
Kennedy -- civil rights
Leahy -- Bybee torture memo
Biden -- privacy, personal autonomyand the 9th Amendment
Kohl -- Property rights and civil liberties
Feinstein -- "judicial activism" and Roe vs. Wade
Feingold -- limits of executive powers
Schumer and Durbin have wisely refused to show their hand.

My prediction is that Roberts passes with a number of dems voting for him
Brian Wilson & Chris Walace and Brit are of the understanding the Dems may back off Roberts ... they seem to agree that the Dems know this is a lost battle with Roberts and are rethinking their plans and to now go after the President's next pick
That if the President picks another conservative to replace the middle of the road O'Connor .. then the Dems will go Armageddon on the pick
PatienCE, isn't it?
Good catch.
Thanks! Got it. Sessions would also make a GOOD POTUS. :)
"I have no reason to fabricate anything. If I find it, I will expect an apology from you."
And you shall have it.
"In addition. I never said Scalia made remarks along those lines, as a response to Roberts nomination or in anyway even a reference to Roberts."
Nor did I say you did. I just can't imagine why Scalia would have ever given a statement on whether he would have helped in the preparation of a case that he ultimately ruled on. I can't wait to see it.
Jamie Colby(foxnews)in NC being battered by the wind and looks to be having difficulty standing. Forecast is a Cat. 1 thus far.
''Chuckies Bride'' = Helen Thomas
''Chuckies Nightmare''= John G. Roberts
<--- begins to duck ---
Could it be that the DemocRATs are becoming embarrassed at their obvious inferiority to Roberts and will cut it short to save further disgrace?
Or do they truly have no shame?
Oh gawd. I just knew Schumer would have the last spot.
If it is a minority/female that will be worth buying tickets to see.
They are back again
Yeah - Just whenb you thought it was safe to go out again... Heh heh heh
Btw, in my 58 years I have NEVER seen a man as calm, concise, pleasant, and brilliant as this MAN, Mr. Roberts!
And his wife behind him is a sweet, pretty, and loving woman! You can see her great and warm admiration for her husband in her intelligent eyes.
Schummer coming last means....horrors....he won't make the 6 o'clock news.
Chuckie Schmuckie is going to be up during Mark's show! heheheh
