The film depiction of Flight 93 that crashed in Pennsylvania on 9/11/01 is being shown on the Discovery Channel at 9 pm Eastern time.
That is in less than one hour for people in all time zones that are on satellite feed.
A FReeper lost his Dad on this flight and wants everyone to watch.
He says it has some (but not all) of the real communications from the plane.

I understand too well where you are coming from. I felt the same but could not voice it to my children who watched it with me. But what I did tell them was "this was the face of evil. This is what our soldiers are fighting and don't ever let anyone ever tell you different." I was preaching to the choir as they felt the angry courage of the heroes on that plane.

Chris, my sadness is eclipsed only by your loss and bravery to go through this again and again.
Yes, we will never forget and we will never forgive.
God bless us all.
Yours in unity.

This was so hard to watch. It sure did bring back memories and feelings that I had put behind me during the long months of having sons deployed.
Our Marine was a Quantico that day.It brought back the feelings that I had during the attacks when we really didn't know how many planes were up there and what we be the final number of targets.

Bingham's Mom reminds me of someone whose son had went through a crisis and survived and was living next door. It is weird. I wonder if she is on meds.

"We need to KILL EVERYONE OF THE ISLMOFACIST TERRORISTS - EVERY LAST ONE!"
I am so with you. I am in the middle of watching the 11pm showing and I WANT TO WIPE OUT EVERY SINGLE @%#$^!&#%@ TERRORIST PIG!
I am simply balling, angry as hell, about to put my hand through the TV screen. I am so glad that they played this film. Hopefully it has recharged our batteries for the long fight ahead.
President Bush, DO NOT LET US DOWN!

I remember thinking four years ago that she seemed superficial and just not in touch, ya know? After listening to her recorded conversation with her son tonight, I have to give her credit for being heads up.

(Angel, a show well worth watching...whether or not you believe it!).
How in the HELL is Angel more worth watching than this documentary?

Of course that wasn't my point, but...I know it wasn't. There are lots of freepers around here who can come to the point, be it ever so fine. I kind of like to sidle up to an issue and pinch it on the fanny.
You're just lucky we're not in an elevator. ;)

Probably because she's already written a book and told her story.

Much better design! With all of this brings it all back like it was yesterday. While it does bring back the sadness I'm sure many feel upon reflection of 9-11, there is the anger that comes as well.
Besides the anger felt from the initial attack, it's hard to swallow or vent the feelings that come to mind when I reflect. I doubt I can ever forget the garbage that celebrated in the streets upon hearing the news. What comforts me is that there are enough of us who aren't lulled into complacency that will stand in the face of danger and say, "LET'S ROLL!"
