Brinkley, a professor at New Orleans' own Tulane University who accompanied Penn on his voyage through the under-water city, was among the first to denounce the report. "There was never a leak," he said in the Daily News. On Larry King Live, Penn concurred: "The boat never sank."
According to Brinkley, the boat did take on water--because it was "overloaded" with storm survivors. According to Penn, his "entourage" consisted of "a couple of friends." (The actor's camp denied the existence of the "personal photographer.

He was going to, but his peaple decided it wouldn't be good press if he had flashbacks and started shooting women, babies and old men. Heaven forbid if some kid, seeing that hideous head apearing out of the swamp waters turned to run away, Kerry would have a flashback and shoot him in the back. I despise sean penns politics but, he went out there and got HIS feet wet, HE actually went and tried to help. I gotta give him props for that.I'd say Sean was trying draw attention for himself and to score points on Bush. "Rescuing" flood victims was no better than third on his list. I think if he were sincere, he wouldn't need his right hand to point out what his left was doing, so to speak. Just my .02.

It wasn't a joke. It was the TRUTH. Both Sean Penn and the professor with him apparently do not realize a boat can only carry the amount of water it displaces before sinking. Even fifth graders -- outside of California and Louisiana -- seem to know this fact.

Whoa...I don't remember ever seeing that Gilligan's Island cast photo with Ginger holding a banana.
As I examine the photo with Freudian lenses, I see that Mary Ann is holding a huge bunch of bananas at arm's length, in contrast to Ginger poised to take a bite out of it...this would indicate that Mary Ann really is a wholesome country girl on the inside despite her compact yet voluptuous figure, while Hollywood starlet Ginger, on the other hand...uh...er...

So the little s**t was armed and wearing a flak jacket. Sounds like he was fulfilling the rapper's allegement about shooting the "us"s. I think old Sean was going hunting. After all, he does have a history of violence. He tied old Madonna up for a day and assaulted her, but she's so afraid of him, she doesn't want to talk about it.
