The Fox News Channel's Major Garrett made another appearance on the program this evening, following up on his blockbuster story yesterday. Among other things, Garrett got confirmation --on camera-- of the Louisian State department of Homeland Security's blocking of the delivery of relief supplies to the Superdome and the Convention Center. In addition, Garrett received confirmation from senior Salvation Army officials in Washington, D.C. that the Salvation Army's efforts at supplying the evacuees were also repeatedly blocked. Radioblogger will have the transcript up later, but the key takeaway was when I asked Garrett if characterizing Louisian's preparation for the storm as "abysmal" was accurate and he confirmed that indeed it was. Read the whole thing.
I also asked Garrett why no other network is on this story. He can't offer an answer for that, event hough he points out that this isn't a hard story to get, and Fox News needn't be credited. All CNN has to do (or MSNBC or CBS) is call the Red Cross and get a camera over there.

You are kidding are you not? No way!
Laura has on her website, a voter poll about Bush's part in this...whether it is his fault...
I voted, NO of course, and when it clicked to the results, a LOT more people voted in Bush's favor than against...so Laura is in the minority in a poll on her own website..

do you think we need to buy her a clue? lol
I hadn't seen this or heard about this...and, I know, I shouldn't be, either, but am....I just can't believe all of this stupidity....
Beside Jesse spinning and lying when Sean was questioning him ... Why was Jesse pointing his index finger at his chin like that???
it was Odd
Unfortunately, this is always the case. Conservatives and anyone with an ounce of compassion gives in to try to alleviate the situation. We always "hope" that the others will reciprocate, but they never do. I agree that the Republicans need to SHUT UP and not say another word until they can show the facts while stating who the real culprits/clowns are. Now that they have been saying it, it will be used against them.
You didn't see him rake Monkey Face Gregory over the coals yesterday, did you?
The really bad consequences of having your head shoved up a donkey's @$$ for so long.
Thanks for the link. I know he's online, but often it jumps for me, and I'm not home a lot of the time at that point in the day to connect. If Tony could get syndicated here on the radio I could listen to him practically every day.
Michael Savage said tonight that we have a very compassionate government and that in the end it will be shown that they did a very good, efficient job.

See that's the thing with Savage...one night he is into pure Bush bashing big time and then sometimes he will say something like this...just big time wishy washy...and sometimes he is just rants and sounds like he is from Bizzaro.
FOFLOL!!
You would think so...but remember, the dems take their black vote for granted...and I am sure they knew that coming out before the hurricane even left the LA area, blaming Bush...
That it would cement the distrust of Bush and the Republican Party by the poor and black in LA...
And, they also counted on Sharpton and J. Jackson doing exactly what they are doing...race baiting..and they don't have to get their hands dirty.
See, Landrieu expects to get BILLIONS for LA...out of this..and is probably pretty sure, she will be able to spin it that it wouldn't be there if it weren't for her.
No, I am not kidding.
After a while, you lose respect for someone who won't stand up for himself.
I don't know why George W. Bush thinks he would be a lesser man to defend himself against these outrageous accusations.
He could make these idiots look silly in a heartbeat by simply calling them on the obvious nonsense they spew.
For example, he could say, "We expected the city of New Orleans to follow its own written plan to evacuate its poor using school buses. Those buses are still sitting under the water flooding the town. Those buses don't belong to FEMA or any other federal agency.
New Orleans has its own city government which is the primary source of help in a public emergency. This is because the city government is closest to the people and expected to be the most responsive.
The federal government can help must the city must lead the way and ask for help early in the course of a forecast disaster.
The buses were the most obvious and available means to evacuate the city's poor. The buses belong to the school board of New Orleans. We assume the city would not have a written plan calling for their use unless the school board has authorized their use in a disaster such as Hurricane Katrina.
We are curious to know why the trapped victims were not bussed out of the city as called for in the city's own disaster plan.
We are also curious why significant stockpiles of food and water available from both the Red Cross and the Salvation Army were officially denied to those trapped in the city who so desperately needed it."
CAMP, my a**. These are GREAT BIG MANSIONS.
Just voted in Laura's poll. Guess what her current results are.
Q: The Bush response to Hurricane Katrina--
Answer Percent
was reasonable under the circumstances 77%
should have happened earlier 23%
I'm assuming Libs haven't flooded it judging by the numbers, so apparently her audience doesn't agree with her little roar of "independence".
Haven't heard (suspension with CNN) but I don't like him either and I hope he doesn't go to Fox...too many foxes in the hen house over there as it is...lol
Absolutely, unequivocally UNTRUE.
Don't quote left wing nonsense as if it were fact...........please.
The "Rev." Jesse Jackson was just on H&C spinning this yet...didn't acknowledge that it was STATE officials who were stopping the supplies from getting in because they didn't want the Dome or the Center to become "magnets" for people.
