Boortz: NOW --- LET'S TALK A BIT ABOUT GUN CONTROL

NOW --- LET'S TALK A BIT ABOUT GUN CONTROL

I mentioned this above .. but let's bring it up again. Gun control. For decades the left has been eager to disarm the American people. Democrats and liberals have been dedicated to the idea that only government should have guns, that the people should totally and completely put their right of self defense to government.

How would you like to have been one of the people in New Orleans who sat out the storm in their house, only to now find to now find predatory looters trying to come through the front door ... and no police help available. One shot through the door to take out that first looter and the rest would run. They're looking for safe targets, not homeowners with guns.

And what about the hospitals? I'm almost dead certain that the rules in these hospitals forbade any employees from having guns on the premises. Now we hear about doctors and nurses moving patients to higher floors of hospitals while looters make their way upstairs. Do they wish they had guns now? How about that children's hospital that was under siege a few nights ago?

Now you know. In times of disaster and civil unrest the government isn't - can't be there to help you.

You will, at least for some period of time, be on your own. You have a responsibility to your children, to your family members, to protect them. Are you up to it? Do you have a gun?

What about this program I told you about a few weeks ago .. a program whereby you were supposed to ask the parents of your children's playmates whether or not they had a gun in the home. Presumably you were supposed to tell your children they couldn't visit a home where there was a gun in the house. How special.

OK ... so let's say that your child is visiting one of these wonderful gunless homes .. and some disaster strikes. Maybe it's an earthquake, or our Islamic friends. You can't get to your children, and you know that there are predators and looters in the streets. Your children. Are they safe? Are you proud that you made sure that the adults in that home would have no way to protect themselves --- and your children --- until the cops got there?

The gun control loons out there have all sorts of ideas as to how to get the guns away from law-abiding citizens. Have them explain to you just how they are going to make sure that the predators don't have guns when disaster strikes.

I'm sure Mr. Boortz knows this already, but gun control is not about making people safer, with the exception of politicians and those who fear the 'little people'.

The loons advocate that we should wait for the police to come and save use from murdering scumbags. By the time the police get here, they will have to call the coroner to do his job, for we will be very "killed" DEAD!

Just to point out something to all--the photo of the man in front of his building, with the warning (and eye) that looters will be shot...it seemed to have attracted trouble, because that's the same building that BURNED TO THE GROUND for those of you with sharp eyes who saw it on the news.

Don't get me wrong--I'm in full agreement with everyone here--I think the only thing that was done wrong was that he spraypainted the warning on his building. It attracted a revenge attack. Thugs don't like to be threatened, I guess.

Anyway, I thought it was "coincidental" that the building spontaneously combusted.

The owner should have stayed in the building, quietly, and not spraypainted the warning. Just shoot the first thug dead on the spot. Let THAT be his warning. ;)

Thank you for sharing that -- seriously!

You have just reinforced my belief that FR is one of the world's largest collections of rational folks.

That's a great first step.

Now, if you haven't already, get him to take you to the range so you can become real familiar with that gun.

If you need to use it in a hurry, well...I think you see the picture.

Liberals want a disarmed, docile, easily controlled and dependent on Government populace. This allows them to dictate to the masses their ideas on how they should live. This also makes them dependent on the government handout. Their largesse is what keeps them in power to the dumbed down dependent class. It should be obvious that the local & State Government messed up massively. School buses never utilized for evacuation, no emergency plan in place. Years of inaction on Levee reenforcement or a second or third levee.

Anarchy ensued when Law Enforcement broke down. The predators were turned loose to loot, rape, pillage and murder without Legal Authority. Armed citizens must protect themselves. Survival dictates it is your responsibility not the damned Nanny Government. Sarah Brady can pound sand. Tell those who were terrorized by the thugs they have no right to self defense. Tell that to the Girls and Women raped for sport by the gangs of hoodlums shooting at the Rescue Workers.

It is time for a little vigilante justice. Thin the herd time. This should serve as a wake up call to the Nation. You cannot rely on Government to protect you. Your obligation is to protect yourself.

That's a good'un. I had a Ruger Security Six for a while, but I switched to all semi-auto. I like my sawed-off 12 gauge 870 with extended mag, loaded down with 00 Buck.
