Microsoft is on track to outsource more than 1,000 jobs a year to China, according to blistering evidence released yesterday in Microsoft's increasingly nasty spat with Google over an employee who jumped ship in July.In a revelation that highlights the complexity of China President Hu Jintao's visit to Seattle and Microsoft on Monday, legal filings detailed claims of how Microsoft had offended the Chinese government by not outsourcing as many jobs as promised to Chinese technology vendors.
Chief Executive Steve Ballmer visited China in 2003 and promised to step up the pace, from $33 million worth of work a year to $55 million a year, according to a statement by Kai-Fu Lee, a former vice president who left to work for Google in July. Lee was charged with smoothing over relations with China and finding jobs that could be shifted to Chinese contract workers.
"At the time of my departure, MS was on track to outsource over 1,000 jobs a year to China," he said in a court declaration. A Microsoft spokeswoman said the company has transferred some projects to China "in order to free up teams here for other work."

And you accuse adam_az of selective posting?
I've proven (again) you're a liar, Mr. Rather: MS gives more to Commiecrats than Republicans, which is what you said.
He gave to GWB too. Face it, you've already lost the point. I claimed he was middle of the road, and the evidence proves it. Guys like adam_az tried to selectively post only one side of the equation, and got busted for it.
You moved the bar.
Earlier you said -
"Most obviously, Microsoft has never been fined by US government for illegal tech transfers, to anyone, but no one has any more than IBM"
None of the links you provided (in response to the wrong post as a misdirection) provide evidence of that.
"You must work for IBM."
I used to - it's been a few years though, and the only stock I own is about .29 of a share which is more of a headache to sell than it's worth.
Now provide the Gates and ESPECIALLY the Ballmer quotes.
GE tactics in a nutshell:
1) Red herring
2) Selective quotation
3) Move the goalpost
4) Ignore rebuttals
5) Make stuff up
6) Rinse, repeat
"And you accuse adam_az of selective posting?"
He trollbaited me - he said that Microsoft is a major republican supporter, so I replied with examples of repugnant Dems that Gates supported.
Then he accused me of selective posting, even though the reason I made a selective post in the first place was to show examples that contradicted his insane claims.
Of course it is, which is the point. It was an example used because you claimed that IBM should not be held accountable for what they did during WWII since that was in the 40's.
You're right, that was B2k. Apology - he is the troll.
This whole "troll" thing is kind of overused, don't you think? It's like other terms that have been used so often that they have no meaning anyomore ... like "nazi" or "commie". We are "dumbing down" these words, thru so much overuse, that the negative connotations associated with them are slowly being lost.
"Of course it is, which is the point. It was an example used because you claimed that IBM should not be held accountable for what they did during WWII since that was in the 40's."
No, because as I showed in another post, it wasn't IBM US... it was DEHOMAG the German subsidiary that was taken over by the Nazis. Not IBM US.

No, becauase GE and B2K troll these threads. I provided a few examples in other posts.

Don't you see where it applies in this case? Emphasis on the "lies" part when it comes to Old Yellowbird.
Frankly, it does not matter that MS spends its money helping commiecrats - it's a legal activity, and the software is unaffected by it. It does give lie to the "MS gives more money to Republicans" sh*t he spews, though.
I guess he wants it to be true so badly he's unwilling to admit, even to himself - and in the face of unassailable evidence, that MS is no better than IBM in this respect.
It's sad, really.
Okay, I understand what you mean. A subsidiary located in another country is a different matter altogether and you are right, they are not to be associated with the 3rd Reich.
Still don't agree that GE and B2K are trolls, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
Ok so kerry was running on Linux, whats communism.org run on?
And prised communist dictators in China..
I am sooo holding onto this one thank you..
"Ok so kerry was running on Linux, whats communism.org run on?"
Troll, respond to some of the questions which have been posed to you on this thread, instead of asking irrelevent things.
What's Free Republic run on?
Tarnished Turkey!
Old Yellowbird!
Pewtar Parrot!
Brass Buzzard!
Aquila chrysaetos!
What would you call someone who repeats the same tired things on each thread which have been disproven on every other thread that they've been claimed on with primary source evidence?
What would you call someone who makes things up, then fails to respond when called on it?
What do you call someone who ignores repeated requests to provide a source for something they are mischaracterizing, and replies instead with a red herring?
Oops - misread the from/to
Thought that GE wrote that.
LOL! I thought so. It's a common question he won't answer. If he does then it's "they probably run on a hosting company and thus have no say in what OS their site runs on." kind of nonsense. He forgets, though, that we know that statement is the most rotten BS he's ever spewed forth, since they can shop around for a company that runs what they want to run.
Look at pages like their poll results.. the page (http://struggle.net/bio/code/best.asp?stream=comments) is an asp page and we all know what that means... IIS on the back end they are not just using windows as a front end server because someone is hosting for them they are developing on windows...
I agree with what you are saying about the "communism" tag getting tiresome, it is. I also don't believe that companies can also have the label "commie" applied to them. This is a global market and to refuse to do business with a country with the population of China because of their "beliefs" is corporate, or career suicide. This does not apply, of course, to countries currently under sanctions.
I go on record as saying that Linux is not "communist" ... it's an operating system, not a governmental policy.
