REFUGEES IN SAN DIEGO
primenews.com
SAN DIEGO, CA -(9-4-05) A San Diego man is helping victims of Hurricane Katrina in a big way. David Perez has reportedly chartered a jet and is flying medical supplies into the Gulf then returning to San Diego with refugees. A plane with 172 refugees is expected in San Diego Sunday. UPDATE: The plane arrived Sunday around 5pm. Officials from the City of San Diego along with the local Red Cross set up a refugee center at Kearny High School. We were told that the plane would hold 172 people. The exact number of people on Sunday's flight was not immediately available. According to a spokesperson for Executive Jet Services, three more planes were scheduled to go to Louisiana carrying supplies Sunday evening, then returning with more refugees.

Americans, by and large, are just good people.
BFLR. I have a lot of baby & children's items, and will try to contact Exec Jet Services to see what they need, or if they will accept these kinds of donations. Thank you for posting this.
I can hardly wait till the novelty of the charming "victims" wears off and their welcome wears out and the crime statistics start to creep up in their adopted cities. Then what? Where do they go then? Who's gonna love em then?
Is Rush going to fill up his G5 as well?
I vote for John Travolta & Oprah to load up their planes and pick up a few evacuees (since the "stars" are always "suggesting" ways in which we are supposed to help people)...

The Texans were screening for security. Hopefully, they screened the criminals out.
And this will happen sooner than you think, because by and large the independent and resourceful people in N.O. got the hell out (they didn't wait for the Mandatory notice), and/or prepared to stay and be safe for more than one day.
What descended on the Dome and the Convention center were the helpless, the street punks, the stupid, and the welfare queens.
The only good thing about this is that the good people of Texas will not have to worry about their Job market being swamped by a bunch of unemployable rif-raf. Seems unlikely 1 in 1000 of these newly homeless will be seeking jobs any time soon.
My guess:
The people's republic of San Diego will find a way to ship these people to L.A. within 3 months.
Add in the substance abusers, alcoholics, and diseased.
Houston has plenty of Mesicans who will do the jobs the homeless won't do.
Spoze we could hire them to clean up N.O. in return for deed to the city?
Might improve the neighborhood 500% from what I saw happening down there.
They will probably fill the place up before the ground gets dry. Gonna be lots of jobs down there.
I read a piece in the local paper today about this. It ended with Perez's obvious ANGER at Bush for not getting "off his ass" and getting help. This man seems to be more motivated by anger at Bush than compassion for the victims.
I hope I'm wrong.
Any with drive will find jobs and make a new life elsewhere during the long, N.O. mop-up. Others will entrench into the welfare programs of their adopted states.
The able-bodied men sitting around doing nothing but complaining at the Superdome won't be the kind to clean and rebuild that city.
Ironically, it will be strangers who will have to clean and rebuild New Orleans. The costs will be paid by millions of Americans who have never set foot in New Orleans.
It's criminal the outsiders who pay the costs and do the work cannot throw out the corrupt officials responsible for the mess who will eventually ascend their local thrones once again to preside over continued debauchery and corruption.
Americans everywhere will pay dearly for the rebuilding of New Orleans and live to sorely regret it.
It's dicey enough as it is.
Perhaps he landed somewhere in Mississippi or Alabama.
"This man seems to be more motivated by anger at Bush than compassion for the victims. I hope I'm wrong."
Of course they're motivated by Bush hatred. The entire vast left-wing conspriacy is motivated by this simple, blind principle.
You're not wrong. You're right on.
Travolta could do this today. He's a pilot and OWNS his own 707.
Instead, he's making a PR stop in Baton Rouge to "inspect the refugees," whatever TF that means.
Yes, Americans will pay dearly for the reconstruction of New Orleans, and what is rebuilt may be destroyed by a Catagory 5 next year, or 5 years from now or 50 years from now. This is by no means a city that will be safe after it is rebuilt. Every penny spent, may be wasted in a very short period of time because of its location. All we need is the port facility and some housing for the workers on higher ground around the port.
Bush's Fault!
