U.S. commercial air carriers continue transporting tens of thousands of evacuees from the New Orleans airport to destinations throughout the nation.

Rooftop air rescue efforts continue. One rescue chopper crashed late today. Crew members are reported safe. Gunmen who fired upon bridge repair contractors were killed by law enforcement.

To date, an estimated 70 countries and U.S. businesses have pledged hundreds of millions of dollars, supplies, food and equipment to assist the United States' efforts in Katrina's aftermath. Lt. General Honore described the damage to Mississippi today, "all infrastructure south of Jackson, MS is either damaged or destroyed." Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice visited the devastated areas, and attended Sunday church services in Mobile, Alabama.

Elsewhere, Sean Penn's rescue boat, sans plug and full of his personal entourage, reportedly sank during launch in New Orleans. Senator Mary Landrieu (D-LA) threatened to punch President Bush, and Jefferson Parish President Broussard decried that the bureaucracy of FEMA has committed murder.

Streaming Video:

All information is subject to change. Many stations are relying on their corporate parents to configure and maintain Internet streaming. Because of the intense interest in the feeds, they may be unavailable at times because of network congestion or a problem feeding the video to the streaming servers.

WWL-TV New Orleans - WWL-TV is operating from studios at Louisiana Public Broadcasting. CBS has a relay during the morning and afternoon. When available, use the CBS relay first as they have greater streaming capacity. They have a secondary stream from Yahoo. WWL-TV is also offering a special low-bandwidth audio-only stream for dial-up users.

WDSU-TV New Orleans - The news staff has started to return to temporary news studios near New Orleans. However, expect evening coverage from Hearst-Argyle sister stations WAPT Jackson and WESH Orlando when the New Orleans staff needs to take a break.

WGNO-TV New Orleans - New Orleans' ABC affiliate has returned to the air with WBRZ-TV and launched video streaming with continuous Katrina coverage.

WPMI-TV Mobile, AL - WPMI is webcasting from 5:30am - 10:30pm CDT. When off air, you can view pre-recorded reports on demand. This feed is often unreliable.

WKRG-TV Mobile, AL - This station is providing good coverage of the situation to the east in Mississippi and Alabama. However, the station is now signing off at around 10:30pm CDT like WWL and WPMI.

WJTV-TV Jackson, MS - The CBS affiliate in Jackson is providing live coverage for both the Jackson area and south Mississippi (knowing a lot of media in that area is off the air).

WFAA-TV Dallas, TX - WFAA-TV is here because Dallas is one of the evacuation cities.

United Radio From New Orleans: WWL-AM, WNOE-FM, "KISS-FM," WRNO-FM, WYLD-FM, and WJBO-AM (Clear Channel & Entercom) who have joined forces as United Radio From New Orleans, and they are streaming.

Gulf Coast Storm Network (Clear Channel Radio) - Clear Channel offers radio listeners across the gulf coast access to a simulcast emergency radio service. This service seems primarily focused on Alabama and Mississippi, but does cover Louisiana to some degree.

um, something else that may not be public knowledge, at least outside the state of tx is that Houston cops are notorious for shooting first and asking questions later,,, some of those gang punks better not start their junk here,,

LOTS of jobs should be posted this week in the Elkart-Goshen-South Bend area as Fema is awarding huge contracts to trailer manufacturers.

We went through this a few years ago after the Homestead storm, but this will be 3-5 times as large!!

Evacuees (even little Goshen has 4 families, with more coming) will find it EASY to get jobs!

I do believe they have run most of the names through wants and warrants when they arrived to the shelters... But isnt downtown Houston a little sketchy?

That was a very coherent and well thought out letter you wrote. His response to you speaks volumes about his current state of mind. The only thing I can imagine is that he knows he backed the wrong horse the last couple days, and now he's buried himself too deep to admit he's wrong.

You asked about the school buses being washed out.

KALB reported that Grant and Natchitoches Parishes are resuming normal school bus service Tuesday. However, Rapides Parish will not allow students to ride their buses until they are completely disinfected, perhaps by Friday, and they had a clip of buses being washed. I wondered exactly where the Rapides Parish buses went, and it sounded to me like they were used to transport people to shelters in East Baton Rouge.

I drive my child to school, not only because of the reports of bullying, but because I have personally witnessed too many incidents of reckless driving involving school buses. People don't drive responsibly here to begin with, and the school bus operators are no exception. There are too many accident involving school buses reported both on KALB and The Town Talk for my liking.

Also, there is a big desegregation problem in Rapides Parish which has resulted in children being bused to schools miles out of their neighborhood in order to achieve racial balance. There is also an incentive program to get children to voluntarily attend distant schools called "majority to minority," which basically means that the finest public schools are located in the worst neighborhoods. However, the M-to-M buses have to drive so far out of their way to pick up the kids who willingly participate in this exchange that they stop at your house a good two hours ahead of when school actually starts in the morning. There are many families here where no one has a driver's license, so people who have no choice simply stand outside in the dark that early to wait for the bus. However, as long as I have the option, I don't want any part of it.

If I see any more stories about buses being washed, I'll keep you posted.

Where do you think they developed their "shoot first, ask stupid questions later" attitude? :)

uh, ya to say the least, but the southwest side of Houston is much worse IMHO than downtown,,,I say they take those gang punks down to southwest side and stand em on a street corner, give it 5-7 minutes and chances are our thugs here will get em with a random drive by shooting,,,,

"He truly MUST have watched his shows and felt embarrassed for what HE was saying...to take it out on you."

Amazing. That was exactly the impression I got. Joe knows he's wrong and he's backed himself into such a corner he's got no other option than to lash out. Idiot. All 50,000 of his viewers deserve to lose the braincells the shed by watching him.

DEMS are screaming because they realize this mass relocation will cost them SEATS, and when it comes down to it, that's all that seems to matter to them...

I believe that's why JESSE is fighting so hard to get people BACK in New orleans!!

What do you mean "random"?

At least here our gangsters have decent aim and rarely take out bystanders.
