Drudge has it up.
Very sad. It's going to be a tough couple of months in Washington to say the least.

Prayers for his family.
If the Dems wanted a "moderate" to replace O'Connor, does this mean Bush has clearance from them to nominate a conservative?

Saw it on CNN Breaking News.
Knocked LKL and the Bush Bashing Session

Almighty God,
we remember before you today your faithful servant William;
and we pray that,
having opened to him the gates of larger life, you will receive him more and more into your faithful service, that, with all who have faithfully served you in the past,
he may share in the eternal victory of Jesus Christ our Lord,
Amen

May he rest in peace. This will be too much for the Dems. They will throw everything imaginable to stop a 2nd SC Judge.
Prediction: Dems to decide to Filibuster Roberts, and desperately hope they can Impeach or damage Bush w/ wild Katrina accusations.

This is going to get interesting! Schumer may have a heart attack!
Not long till the Congress goes out for the year..... Interesting next two months to try and get a nominee up and approved. May see a recess if they don't get it done quickly.

I don't see why this would trigger a fillibuster of Roberts. what the Dems will do is try and delay Roberts, and will ask for the 2nd Justice to be named before the vote on Roberts, so they can get a "package deal". Bush must resist that.
Its going to be a wild political season now for sure. Wild.
Politics aside, prayers for Rehnquist - he fought so long, and I am sure he was fighting to stay alive until Roberts was confirmed.
