Yes, I heard the mayor being interviewed before the hurricane, he said that Max called him and told him a "story" that scared him to death so he ordered a evac.

Sick bastards, to now blame the Pres, and call him racist.

Of course all Dems know they can get away with this crap because their PR corps in NY are massive.

That's a complete load of crap. Initially, the storm was supposed to come in near Miami and head up through the Tampa Bay area, when it took the southwesterly jog, the track had it swinging back into Florida for about two minutes. All the tracks had it dead on for Louisiana, three or four days out.

This woman is criminally negligent as a Governor. No pre planning and no post hurricane services provided at all. All Floridians know it takes several days for Federal relief to come in, the local and state authorities are the first responders, in effect. In Florida, we are instructed to be prepared for hurricane season on day one. Of course, alot of us scramble a few days out to be sure we have extra water, batteries and canned goods, but most of us take it pretty seriously.

That said, I feel for the people of New Orleans. They have been victimized twice, first by the liberal social policies of the last forty years which made them totally dependent on the government, and two by the ineptitude of the state and local authorities.

Which is BS.

Thursday I was worried because they were talking about a possible cat 4 hurricane tracking for the Big Bend area of FL. We live in central GA, but that's only 350 miles inland from the FL coast. A Cat 4 (esp this one) can wreck damage WAY inland.

Friday morning they had already shifted the track to AL, thenlater, MS, and it kept shifting. I remeber talking with my co-worker about NO flooding.

So, someone in GA, who has no interests in NO, has never been there, I knew NO was going to flood if a big hurricane hit it directly, or close.

Why did the elected officials, who DO have interests in NO and LA, who are elcted to serve the people, why did they not have an inkling as to what was coming?

Damn, it did hit Florida. What did she expect? Turn around midway through the Gulf and hit Florida again?

The magic bullet theory, I guess.

the mayor was busy with his lawyers saturday - worried about his liabilities if he were to issue a mandate for evacuation.
