In a broadcast yesterday, Air America radio talk radio host Randi Rhodes repeatedly urged listeners in the hurricane-devastated Gulf Coast to go out and loot, insisting the poor should be allowed to steal goods at will.
The leftist host, who has sparked controversy in the past for advocating the assassination of President Bush, said hurricane victims should avoid discount centers such as Wal-Mart and focus their looting on higher-end stores in order to get good quality products, according to Ned Rice, a contributor to National Review Online's weblog "The Corner."

When looters who hear this clown go out and do as he suggests....and get shot dead, can their relatives sue him? At the very least he should be jailed.

Hopefully someone from the Department of Justice and Attorney General will be looking at this very closely and very quietly.
Ive got to believe if someone is arrested for looting or any other type of civil mayhem and uses as a defense that wack jobs comments as justification for their actions, the resulting litigation could be quite interesting.

Randi, we just got a call from a bunch at the Superdome. Can about a hundred of them move in with you? They won't be staying with you at your house very long...maybe just four or five months. They knew you'd understand.

Randi Rhodes is the perfect spokeperson for the American Left.

Keep in mind "there's no one listening".
If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around does it make a noise?
To: The Red Zone; rineaux
Sounds an awful lot like "incitement to riot" to me! The larger point is, as rineaux points out, responsibility - the fact that left evades it. And, whatever his virtues, President Bush is not about to make the political counterattack this treason cries out for.
IMHO the only remedy is in civil court. Broadcasters whose signal reaches a locale where looting is a real threat should answer a civil suit from anyone whose store was looted after they advocated theft.
Having broadcasters actually held to account for something they said would have an exceedingly salutory effect. It's not like the FCC was threatening to pull the licenses of the Air America affiliates for capers like this!

I'm not sure but I thought that she was killed last June while on vacation. I heard that as she was sunbathing near a swimming pool a group of Japanese fisherman, mistaking her for their quarry, harpooned her.

Imagine the outrage if this had been a bit on Rush's show
during the Clinton presidency.
