Today President Bush toured the Gulf Coast states of Mississippi, Alabama and Louisiana and and did his best to comfort the victims of the most destructive natural disaster in the history of the United States
haha yes
Emily, I, too, think Shep is beginning to lose it. He's been there for about 4 days. They need to get him out.
Thanks for posting that picture Mike - I saw that video and his hug was so reassuring to that woman - it was just awesome.
I loved all the great press tonight on FOX for the City of Houston and Gov Perry and the State of Texas. After all the years of listening to the libs besmirch all if it.
Agreed, hopefully he will go home over the weekend.
Blanco....not capable of managing a Haagen-Daaz
Mike, she would probably work at Ben & Jerry's....her lib friends. LOL.
And .. did you see how the Mayor was backpeddling on his condemnation of Bush - AFTER HE MET AND TALKED WITH HIM ..?? It was priceless!
I JUST HEARD THAT MY DEAR FRIEND FROM NEW ORLEANS IS SAFE IN HOUSTON WITH HER SON!!!
She evacuated on Sunday, and thinks her home (on Canal St) may be gone, but SHE IS SAFE! THANK YOU, DEAR LORD!!
(Now we need to hear the same about our friends from church!!)
LMAO! Poor Geraldo will never live that one down :) But the vault wasn't empty. Don't you remember the bottle--that empty dust covered bottle? He found that :)
Ohio, great news!! We'll keep praying for your Church friends.
Suzi, sorry that your family has lost their homes and we'll pray for God's blessings for them.
C-SPAN is re-broadcasting the President's visit to the Gulf NOW!!
Night all!
Thank you for telling us that your family are all alive. I'm praying for them and their loss.
Clever tagline.
Prayers for your family SuziQ. Since your sister works at the courthouse, could you ask her how the library came out of it, the one in Pascagoula or in Ocean Springs? I once worked there. I was wondering about the Tato Nut shop too, if you think to ask. I keep hoping to go back there someday to pick up a couple of dozen doughnuts.....
My son is still going to USM after eight long years. He has his bachelors and masters and is working on his doctorate. If he can get a job he likes, the doctorate will be put on hold.
I know the phone coverage is spotty because he wasn't able to call us for a long time.
I'm thinking of all the afterward problems....jobs....fixing homes, even after the immediate emergency is over. Best wishes for your family.
You know Shep and Geraldo are quite a contrast to Steve Harrigan(sp?) and Jeff Goldblatt(sp?). The latter are seeing the same things but their reports are far cry from the emotional competition of the other two.
Great news!
And to add to the glee, Hubby just read that Mother Sheehan is off all busses on the tour and is back in California. (per Lucianne)
Hey lady, that was a joke. I come up with them so seldom, and I really thought that one was funny......
I still think the bottom line is the French are incompetent. Doesn't matter that it once was above sea level. Everything they do turns into a disaster. It is a question of which came first, the chicken or the egg.
C-SPAN??? Showing the PRESIDENT??? Must be a miracle.....
I figgered it was a joke, pearl. It made me laugh too. :)
Aw, what sad news. She was supposed to be in Indianapolis on Monday and some Freepers planned a nice warm welcome freep for her. Wonder if they called it off?
