Prayers for your family SuziQ. Since your sister works at the courthouse, could you ask her how the library came out of it, the one in Pascagoula or in Ocean Springs? I once worked there. I was wondering about the Tato Nut shop too, if you think to ask. I keep hoping to go back there someday to pick up a couple of dozen doughnuts.....
My son is still going to USM after eight long years. He has his bachelors and masters and is working on his doctorate. If he can get a job he likes, the doctorate will be put on hold.
I know the phone coverage is spotty because he wasn't able to call us for a long time.
I'm thinking of all the afterward problems....jobs....fixing homes, even after the immediate emergency is over. Best wishes for your family.

Mmmm. Tato-Nuts. I hope it's ok. I haven't been able to reach my sister, but the phone situation is spotty. I heard that Shearwater Pottery is gone, but apparently they had all the originals of the works of Walter Anderson and his other family members in a safe, so they were preserved. Also, I heard that the works in the museum had been prepared to survive the storm. I went there for the first time with my older sister this past summer. I LOVE Walter's art, especially the tiles that he did. I love the Arts and Crafts period, and his tiles are evocative of that style. I hope it all came through OK.
