Congressional Black Caucus Blaming Bush
Fox News TV | 9/2/2005 | vanity

The Congressional Black Caucus press conference is exploding in indignation at the President's lack of response. First, Elijiah Cummings blasted him. Now it is Jesse Jackson Jr's turn.

I think they want to make this the black Abu Ghraib. The dems thought nothing of stirring up the muslim world over that. Scum.

My favorite quote by LBJ was "Dammit! Just when I learned to pronounce "negro", they went and changed it to "black"!

Don't they realize what has been going on? If the Muslims in Iraq were behaving like this we'd be calling them animals and they'd be getting shot.

They are just getting ahead of the curve. They know help is on the way, in fact the convoy was headed into the city as they spoke, and want to get some credit for it, i.e., they shamed Bush into providing help. It doesn't matter that the relief vehicles came from all across the country and that the assets were already prepositioned.

Asking me if I believe in Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton is like asking me if I believe that grass is pink.

That was pathetic. I particularly like how that last speaker ended with "We, we, we," when he got flustered.

"Thanks for saving my life but where is my steak dinner?"

That is their attitude, isn't it. I saw a lady who made it to the Astrodome and complained incessantly about it being MREs and the poor thing had to eat it cold. Geez, when we needed help, we were grateful. We didn't care what it tasted like.

And just what are they doing to help? There are millions of Americans of all ethnic backgounds helping out right now, and all these pimps and hustlers can do is grandstand for the cameras to score cheap political points. Bleep 'em, the bastards.

I turned it off.

He/they certainly are not helping things one bit.

He should get his fat a$$ down there and help evacuate. Or bring in food/water etc.

"...95% Rat districts will throw your sorry asses out of office."

Unfortunately when the voters of these districts go to Church the "ministers" put the Democrat politicians on the same pedestals of the prophets in the Word of God.

"They (Democrats) will lead you to the promise land", is the mantra these "ministers" use to sucker the voters.

This storm and the reaction to blame anyone with an (R) is the final straw with me and democrats.

I will help anyone, love your enemies and all but my sympathy has faded in these democratic districts.

That is exactly right. Keep reminding people.

This is showboating, plain and simple.

Now that help is visibly on the way, they will step up to take credit for it.

Showboating.

I don't think so, the Bush bashing is way over the top, I know becuase I am a pretty good Bush basher myself from time to time. But this is just too much.

the Mayor of New Orleans, who ordered all those people into the superdome (and he only did that IMHO after he and the Governor were leaned on by the Bush administration) had the power to bus them out of the city at the same time. The City of New Orleans moves many more children each day on school buses than were in the dome. Those buses were available and slated to be used for school the next day. He could easily have evacuted those people...but did not. ""

I have wondered about this from the start- NEVER saw any reporter address this issue, and I never say any metro or school busses trying to move people out-before the levee broke. Now I can only surmise that these busses are damaged-many beyond repair-and that adds to the whole mess.

I blame the mayor and Blanco, who IMO, is the most ineffectual woman in a crisis I have seen on national TV. There are very efficient and decisive women all over the world, and they must be puking at the sight of Blanco, dithering over every word.

Lead, follow, or get the hell out of the way....she has done none of the 3.

I saw that lady kvetching about the MRE's and I couldn't believe my eyes. Poor thing...standing there in her $100 salon curls and acrylic nails having nothing but MREs and fresh water. Something must be done.

Instead of blaming Bush, why not provide some honorable leadership and talk to the blacks about personal responsibility?
