Tonight's Sci-Fi Listing:

7/6 - Firefly

8/7 - Stargate Sg1 marathon.. Basically a marathon showing past episodes of Sg1.. Last weeks episode was good. So far I'm impressed the way BB is handling his role.

Bummed. No BSG.

Guess I'll actually have to do something constructive with my evening...

Maybe Adama and Pres are taking time out for some extended "shore leave" on Kobol...

Since it is a three day weekend, the sci-fi channel usually shows crap (for example the 200th showing of Frankenfish) and interrupt their normal schedule process. This year they decide to show SG1 marathon to start the weekend. I'm glad that they are showing Firefly..

After watching it since it's rebirth I can honestly say,, it sucks!

But luckily I have an off switch and a channel changer.

Concur. As hokey as it was, the old BG was far and away better than the new one---and "Firefly" is sheer, un-adulterated BS--"Dodge City in space"--give me a break!!

I gave Firefly about 12 mins of my attention before I decided it had the stupidest dialoge since the Japs gave us Gamera.

Also, the chick playing Starbuck on BG is a loser, and. um, a doe.

I'll pass, on both. :-)

Here Here on BB.

Question, "did I miss something?" What reason was given for Jack leaving SGC? Are He and LTC Carter together? Will Polly escape the ice floe?

Guess I missed something.

Well in the SG1 world, O'Neil is head of Homeworld security. Reality RDA was getting tired of doing SG1. He wanted to spend more time with his family.

FYI: Cowboy BeBop, the movie, is playing this Saturday night at midnight on Cartoon Network's "Adult Swim."

I prefer it to the original schlocky show with that stupid robot dog and rotten kid.

for example the 200th showing of Frankenfish

That has to be the worst swamp movie since Gatorbait. But a good friends teenage sons loved it. What is wrong with kids these days!

What reason was given for Jack leaving SGC?

Story I heard was that there was a new baby in the family. He was getting tired of the show and wanted to be with his new kid. Don't blame him one bit.

They implied that he left so that he and Carter could be together. In last week's episode, when Carter told that agent that she and her fiance had split, he said "So, you're single now?" and she replied, "Not exactly...."
