I'm fascinated by your tagline. Can you link me to an article or give me the name of one of his books?

No way the doom can handle 25,000, 50,000 for a ball game yea, 25,000 living there no way. 8,000 sounds about right.

Our town of Selma Al. has 2 empty hospitals that could house several refugees, plus we have an old national guard armory, several empty stores such as Food World ,the old Walmart building and several others. Contact our Mayor James Perkins and see if these buildings could be put to good use instead of just sitting there withering away.

FYI...The city of Orlando,Florida has opened a shelter for 3,000 to come to...starting this weekend they expect a shelter in Groveland to fill to capacity.

Brown and Chernoff, neither one is up to the job. And let's face it the Mayor of New Orleans and the Governor of Louisiana are really overmatched. The MSM maybe biased, but the leadership vacuum in the crisis is stifling. There will be little good news to report even by an unbiased new organization.

Interesting point. Detroit has lost half its population over the past 40 years. In theory, it could absorb all of N.O. Probably not all at once, though.

Long as they open a few good Cajun restaurants.

I thought that a lot of these bases had houses, barracks, hospitals, dining hall, BX's, etc. They also have all the infrastructure all in place. Just keep them maintained and ready to go. It's probably better than where a lot of them where living if they were that poor. I'd prefer it to sleeping under the stars.

Greta VS Just made a good point too... it is going to be a comunity effort to get these people back on their feet.... They have to find jobs housing etc... I really hope that these communities step up... I have not heard of anything in Arizona yet, but I am sure that it may spread this far west.

I know. Just pointing out that the so-called "megachurch" is actually pretty miniscule in the scheme of things. They just happen to all like to meet in one building. :-)
