CNN -- live ^ | September 2, 2005 | self - vanity

Posted on 09/01/2005 4:23:09 PM PDT by Poundstone

Anybody watching Anderson Cooper now? He's losing it publicly, blasting Sen. Landrieu, saying she doesn't understand the pain of the New Orleans survivors. He seems traumatized by having witnessed a couple of dead bodies in the streets. Cooper seems like he's descending into madness.

Maybe if he put on some old jeans, rolled up his sleeves and cleaned up some debris between camera time it would settle him down. He's probably more upset that the elected democrats let it get this bad to begin with. Prez George helped Jeb hand out food and water in Florida last year. No mayhem, no panic, so where is the gov and mayor of La/NO?

Landrieu can't afford to be seen playing the blame game since her dad & family reaped all the $$$ from playing political games with the levees and using all the pump station contracts, etc., over the years, to build their family wealth and sustain their political power.

Did he go after her? If so, he really must be losing it - doesn't he know that he's supposed to blame Bush so Landrieu can agree with him?

He started by asking her why the federal government hasn't apologized and to her credit she didn't bite. She thanked President Bush for his efforts and those of GHW Bush and Clinton. She thanked the Congress for their extraordinary session. He chided her for thanking a bunch of politicians and she rebuked him. Told him she was from NO and her father was a mayor of NO. She clearly did not like his asinine remarks and maintained a non political attitude. Good for her.

"They are contributing to the panic"

Exactly whose panic are they contributing to?

I don't think many people in New Orleans have their televisions on in their homes while their microwaves heat dinner and the air conditioning keeps the room at a pleasant 72 degrees.

Landrieu was actually very good, unflappable to his hysteria, thanking Frist, Bush, etc., while he's screeching" who do you blame?," etc.

Now Cathy why would he blast Bush?

From what I've been hearing and reading all day, it sounds like this story's drivenm the media completely around the bend and they are just openly trying now to outdo each other in shrillness in blaming this whole thing on President Bush. I fully expect that the New York Times will be calling for he, Cheney and the entire Cabinet to resign in their Sunday editorial, and if they don't they will call for impeachment.

They are contributing to the panic.

I agree

They need to either suck it up and report

Or Get out!
