2 teams of Delta Force operators have been dropped into New Orleans. Hopefully this will make the MSM news. Sounds like the heavy guns have come to help.
Be Seeing You,
Chris
Sounds like BS to me too.
That is what I was wondering too, but clearly the gangsters that have taken over New Orleans have to go and quickly. One thing for sure, Delta is not there to do police work, they are there to take ground away from bad guys.
shaddup
How many is this, 40-50 men? What good is that going to do?
"why do we need SF guys going where cops should have enough balls to do the job?"
Because only an idiot would try to take on a group with AK-47s armed only with a 9mm pistol or shotgun in the streets.
The NO cops are WAY under-calibre for Urban warfare. The Mayor and Governor just wanted the "appearance" that they had a clue what they were doing.
To the best of my knowledge, the use of Delta Force units are never discussed and certainly members of a deployed or about to be deployed unit do not call family members.
Moreover, there are severe restrictions on what federal military troops can do in a US civilian environment vs what state military troops are permitted to do.
Trust...but verify.
This is an unsubstantiated and most probably false rumor.
This morning I was calling it Mogadishu West
But then I saw the best name, posted by another freeper: Mogadishu on the Mississippi.
May the FORCE BE WITH THEM!
Could delta operate effectively in a flooded city?
The time is long past to pussy-foot around with Thugs and Domestic Terrorists.
However................How long before Bruce Springsteen, or any other Lefty for that matter, writes a song lamenting the Government's malicious violence towards its own citizens, turing these clowns into "martyrs"?
"41 Shots" comes to mind.
I'm pretty sure that there is a number of former Delta/Marine Recon etc. that would be interested in dusting off old skills. Or maybe there's a clause to PC that I don't know of.
At any rate, I think SFOD-D would be a little busy around the world to handle this. I bet that a platoon of staright-leg Louisiana NG infantry could take care of this.
Delta Force is much larger than that.
I call it Fallijua on the bayou.
ping
Delta could operate effectively on the Moon.
WOW! Thanks for the ping!
That movie is hilarious. Remember the motorcycles with the boosters, rear-facing mortars, and mini-rockets! Absolutely hilarious. What amazes me is that any of the actors managed to keep a straight face during filming. Go Chuck, go. LOL.
PC allies to US Army only,(pretty sure) Marines are free to engage.
ROFLMAO!!!
How about The Bayou of Mogadishu.
