TAMPA BAY, August 31, 2005 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Ten year-old Joshua Heldreth, the eldest of eight children, was arrested on Good Friday of this year for trespassing while attempting to bring a drink of water to Miss Terri Schaivo. Days later Schiavo died of intentional dehydration. In court Joshua pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 25 hours of community service and ordered to write an apology for his actions.
The boy whose arrest photo was splashed on front pages of newspapers across the nation wrote in his apology letter, "I was arrested on Good Friday for trespassing on the hospice center's property . . . Not giving Mrs. Shiavo (sic) food or water was wrong. The reason I had to go on your property was because Jesus would do the same thing. It made me sad that she was so thirsty and it made Jesus sad too. I knew she would die without water and I am called by Jesus to be a defender of the defenceless. So I had to go on your property to try to bring her a drink."
Joshua added, "I am sorry that you didn't like that and wouldn't allow me to help save her life and one day you will have to tell God why. I won't be able to help you then like I tried to help her. I will pray for you every day . . ."
LifeSiteNews.com caught up with Joshua's father Scott Heldreth today. Scott told LifeSiteNews.com he is very proud of his son. "My son has amazed me through this whole thing," said Heldreth. The proud father said it was his son's own initiative to attempt to give the starving woman a glass of water, and despite the warning of his parents that he'd be arrested, the boy insisted. "He was the one who begged us to go down, because he wanted to give her a glass of water . . . We explained that police will never let you help . . . you'll be arrested, but he went anyways."
Pro-life leader Rev. Flip Benham of Operation Save America told LifeSiteNews.com that the whole pro-life movement shares Heldreth's pride in his son. Benham recalls the reaction of Heldreth on Good Friday as he watched his son being arrested: "When that all took place Scott was weeping, this father was weeping tears of joy seeing his son not only talk the Christian talk but walk the walk."
While the apology letter has been submitted, Heldreth told LifeSiteNews.com he's not completely sure it will be accepted.

So happy to hear there were people there to protest the words of the LYING Michael Schiavo. It makes me sick that nurses were given credit to attend that conference from hell. Hannity nailed the infamous Dr Cranford for the ghoul that he is. He claims those with the disease of Altimizers and also those who are in comas, have NO rights. What a monster, who has way too much power to influence the courts on decisions of life and death.
If I remember correctly, Cranford was hired by President Carter many years ago, to head some study on controlling health costs. Carter is not the nice man he pretends to be, imo.
Praying for God's Blessings on this country. We need to stand in the gap for our land and pray for God to heal our country. I think the scripture is in Isaiah, but I can't seem to find it right now. However, I did find this one that is similar to what FV said about good and evil.

I so agree with what you said about Terri. She can never again be tormented or hurt by her so called husband. One can only imagine the horrible things he did to her as she laid helpless in that death house. What Michael did to Terri was evil. He got his way and killed her body, but not her spirit.
Terri still lives. She's walking on streets made of pure Gold now, with our precious Father. Someday we will see her and be able to tell her how much we love her and her family. They are my heros.
I don't know how they controlled themselves during all those terrible days. What they went through, is beyond words. They did everything right, but got the wrong results. I would have collasped in a heap of pain. The Lord himself must have given them the strength then and now, as they continue to try and help others, even though their precious Terri is gone. The entire Swindler family is an amazing example of faith and pure class.

At the nadir of their pain, the Schindlers comforted the heartbroken vigilers. That was a stunning sight burned into my memory. They would go around and cheer up people who never knew Terri.
Monsignor told us right after Terri died that we should realize God won and Satan was defeated. Terri was safe.

The monster and his cabal of death mongoring freaks, along with those they fooled and those they did not fool but who went along to support the torture and death of Terri Schindler will be dealt with by the greatest, most awesome, most just Father we love.
No matter what chants, what hellacious scenarios took place in Terri's room as she lay dying, God was there and you and I and everyone who loves our Father know that revenge is His to deliver.
And He will.
Our Father knows the innocent, the helpless, the victems of the brutality of others better than we do.
Terri could NOT be in a better place.

In a sense, yes, indeed. Satan's minions succeeded in killing Terri. Monsignor referred to the event a couple thousand years earlier when Satan's minions killed Jesus. They succeeded then in killing Jesus.
By their winning, they lost.

Yes, Michael Schiavo and the independent medical examiner of Terri (sure he was) are the closest of friends. Dr. Cranford.
Murdering Terri was the big one for the death lobby. If people are smart, they will ask the Terri question of all candidates next year. Were you for or against her MURDER? Do you want more innocent, disabled people with no directives to be killed or will you protect the disabled if elected?

In watching the hurricane coverage. PEOPLE IN THE UNITED STATES WERE NOT APPALLED BY STARVATION AND DEHYDRATION until they saw suffering people on their televisions.
Terri was MURDERED BEHIND CLOSED DOORS. Now that America saw the process of starving and dehydrating in the open, I hope they will join us and call the US Congress to federalize a ban on starving & dehydrating disabled Americans based upon hearsay and flimsy evidence where the Judges are protecting the judiciary, not the people.
WE WANT TO SAVE LIVES, not judges' pensions.

Pinellas County has corrupt judges. They want to keep starving people and needed to send a message if you have a difference of opinion with their barbarous ways, YOU WILL BE ARRESTED. The adults had simple trespass but months after the Vigil, their simple trespasses were upped to inciting to riot. I was there.
The only incitement to riot was by a guy who was a paid protester. He was very tall and stood there saying "My brother's in there." He was the only inciter there. He also stalked Terri supporters a month or so after the Vigil in Tampa. I wonder who was paying him to follow Terri supporters in Tampa long after Terri was gone.
