BREAKING NEWS FEMA suspends boat rescue operations in New Orleans because of dangers to rescuers, officials say. Details soon.

The only difference is right now they have a larger group of victims to exploit, the lawful citizens are much more vulnerable then they usually are and the law is otherwise occupied trying to save a city in ruins AND the scum get the satisfaction of being on TV.
This too shall pass.
Agreed. There are more people helping their neighbors than looting them. Idiots get more face time on TV. That is the nature of TV "news".
I'm glad I'm not as cynical as you are. I still believe that most people are good. I live in the South, where kindness and courtesy still exist and good people outnumber bad people. As I've said before, I can't believe the elected officials in Louisiana were such ostriches about the dire threat they faced and should have known was coming on Friday.
What's more, I'd be willing to bet that there are elements in every major urban area of the US who are watching this and making plans to do the same thing in their cities as soon as the time is right.
And Al Qaida's got nothing to do with it.
Was the lamestream media blaming the President and skewering McClellan? Not surprising. Seeing that here on FR as well.
Are we not airlifting and dropping water and food and baby formula into the NO convention area because of the snipers? Different news stations are showing tons of elderly people and children and babies in dire need and they are also talking about dead people and dead dehydrated babies in the convention center!
These people are not looters and this is a known location.
AIRLIFTED food and water and baby formula is needed NOW but how can it be done with the snipers?!
don't forget...finger wagging, too. : )
You have been brainwhashed. You now can return to your regular program.
The region's not in rebellion. Murderous scumbags are on the loose threatening fed rescue efforts for trapped and dying folks. There shouldn't even be a 1msec pause. They should shoot first and tell the meally mouthed whinners to f off later. In fact they should arrange for the rescued to address the nation and explain that they are alive, because the President doesn't recognize meally mouth pansy ash BS.
Yes, I have heard this. There are some really great ghost stories about the NO cemetaries.
Even Damien Football Williams got off with a minimum sentence even tho the entire world saw him try to kill the truck driver.
No I don't ...
You think so?
The terrorists have now figured out how to bring this country to its knees. Set off a dirty bomb in Detriot, Atlanta, DC, La, etc. and let the hoodlums do the rest.
I have no doubt some of the hardcore looters stayed just for this opportunity.
Wow, what a son you have. A true American hero. You must be so proud of him. I am.
I know the msm is showing almost nothing but the thugs 24/7, and what the msm does best is report negativity. However, in my heart I know that for every piece of scum out there in NO right now, there are at least a 100 heroes risking their lives for their fellow man. And I am so proud of and grateful to them.
Yes - the LA governor.
Yes, there are good people who got stuck and are still there.
IMO, the kind of citizens who would arm themselves and fight back aren't simply good (as in not evil) people, but they are also leaders. I think that they all left.
You make my point.
Why should they have known? How could they have known?
Contrast the two: "I can't believe this happening...WITH..."They should have seen it coming"...
Cynicism is relative...
We need to be very careful who we bring out and relocate. None of these home grown terrorists should ever be released into society again. They have gone way past looters.
"Can you confirm that "too dangerous" meant because of the danger from violent rescuees? Or was it "too dangerous" becasue of floating debris etc.?"
What's the last word? The looters are unlikely, they're only in a small part of semi-dry N O.
