President Bush: "We are dealing with one of the worst national disasters in our nation's history." Push has appropriated vast federal resources to assist with the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
78,000 people are currently in shelters. New Orleans evacuation continues. 10,000 additional National Guard troops have been called to service.
Hospitals are running low on supplies, and public health concerns include water borne disease, poor sanitation, food and drinking water contamination and shortages, mosquitoes, carbon monixide poisoning from electricity generators, lack of childcare, and the special needs of the elderly.

but the IP adress is the same and that means it is comming from the same location. (unless they are hosting the feed) and I doubt a bunch of emo kids would do that.
he just wants to feel that he is important and special.. let him be he has offered no other proof that it is a hoax...
Yep, only now it's not certain that it is a hoax. Guess time will tell.
I was on Google a bit ago, looking for news on Mobile. One of the links (I do NOT remember which)...gave me a virus. My anti picked it up...thank Heaven.
I could see someone hosting the feed...just because the look like freaks doesn't mean they aren't computer nerds.. :)
Sorry, there's too many replies to reply individually. I made a horrible rush to judgement based on a badly constructed satirical homepage.
So are you withdrawing your contention that it was a hoax? I don't know this techie stuff, so I want to make sure I understand what you're saying. Thanks very kindly.
Got it. Thanks. You are fully forgiven. Thanks for your diligence.
it is as bad as being reported and worse then I think anyone wants to stomach. the toll could be in the 10,000 range...
I hope not but I think it is a realistic posibility.

In your repsonse, contemptible and dishonest accusations with typical DU invective are evident. Still, setting that aside, the issue is whether or not allowing some group to steal a bus and drive it to Houston is helpful for New Orleans. It is not, though it is beyond some to understand why.
Well.....The NO Mayor (who I was first defending) I now consider a unprepared guy who hasnt slept much so I think that the word "thousands" is being thrown around too losely and if he had the chance to say it again he would word it differently. Lots of people have died but thousands is a bit much.
"Yeah, I was going to bed - now I need to watch the thread."
Boy - if I had a nickel for every time I said that!
well... Whatever this Shoutcast (not teamspeak, like the other one) is, it is NOT local New Orleans PD...
I'm thinking this is the command net, admin chatter between 4 different HQ.s that I have identified so far...
