WSB, via Hannity, reporting that a urban legend is going around about gas shortages, causing a panic in people, who are rushing to gas stations. Reporter said regular gas prices at one station was above $4.
does anyone drink Folgers anymore?
Good to see the oil companies pushing things back to the last year of Jimmy Carter's presidency. I really missed that malaise stuff.
Bush, Cheney, Halliburton's fault. Raking in the $$$. They are getting rich. We are getting screwed. Should have signed that treaty. Enviro mess their fault. We should have prayed to the Big Enviro god In the Liberal Sky! /sarcasm still on.
And the percentage hike on household debt was?
I know its simple math. For instance I was looking at 2005 Honda Accord vs. 2005 Honda Accord Hybrid. There was about 10,000 dollar difference in price. Just think about it how much would it cost a person to fill a regular Honda accord vs a Honda Accord Hybrid a week. I think its around $8 difference. Now you times that by 52 weeks a year, and that gives you a little over $400 a year savings.
So the question should be do I spend 10K on a Hybrid to save $400 a year? Of course not... Hybrids are still in their infant stages. 10 years from now they maybe more reasonable, but for now no way...
I got yer gas panic right here in my pants...
In the short term, like 3-7 days, yes. But it's only driven by people thinking there's a problem.
KFBK's Tom Sullivan says fights are breaking out in Georgia and gas prices have hit $6 a gallon.
Conserve fuel. Burn an environmentalist.
Just saw on Fox, one station in Hotlanta is already approaching $6 per gallon.
"Adjust for inflation and hand over your wallet."
It is my understanding that demand for housing has gone up substantially over the past couple of days.
Is that you, Paul Krugman?
How do we know if a station has been boycotted permanently? Till it becomes a flower shop instead?
I'm not an environmentalist, but I DO think the people in this country need to get back to carpooling and cut our consumption WAAAYYYY back. Perhaps $4 per gal will make that happen. I'd sure like to see less congestion on the roads during rush hour. In the 70s, my father carpooled in a van with 5 or 6 other folks.
No - Alan Greenspan.
You must be living in a cave if you think this country is flush with cash.
Gee,and all these cities with millions of illegals + no gas, food and maybe a stoppage in the fedgov gravy train.......wonder kind of mood they'll be in?
Day at home? We have plans to go out of town.
Both this weekend AND next.
They might. The governor just froze gas prices under a state of emergency. Go home people.
Didn't I tell you to stop playing with that thing?"
HEHEHEHEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
The friction!!!!!!ROFLMAO!!!!!
