Rising gas prices and ongoing bloodshed in Iraq continue to take their toll on President Bush, whose standing with the public has sunk to an all-time low, according to the latest Washington Post-ABC News poll.
The survey found Bush's job approval rating at 45 percent, down seven points since January and the lowest ever recorded for the president in Post-ABC surveys. Fifty-three percent disapproved of the job Bush is doing.

I really would like to understand what it is these people are complaining about, and why the media continues to report this kind of BS? Long ago, Bush addressed his concerns about energy prices, but these idiot libs were the ones griping about building new power plants, refineries, etc. They won't be satisfied until people are forced to drive cars powered by tofu, bean sprouts, and granola, then they'll start whining about them too. Now all of this is Bush's fault.
The economy is improving, despite fuel costs, the defecit has been paid down, and unemployment is decreasing.
Get informed, get real, or move to France.
These people are just nuts!!!
If Bush gets back from vacation and comes out swining I will donate several extra hundred dollars to the RNC otherwise forget about it.
Sadly, there are still too many people who think being informed means blindly regurgitating whatever you just heard on CNN...
No party breakdown, no registered/likely voters, over a weekend, over the phone. Plus or minus 3 points.
Guess what? I bet President Bush doesn't care...
and if after him ordering help for the hurrican victims 2 days BEFORE the hurricane hit...and if it is known that HE had to kick butt, and get the mayor and governor to order evacuations...
He STILL has low ratings...then it is because they are polling idiots and dems.
I wuz gonna say the same... Look who they're polling!
Too bad for the Bush haters that 45% of those 1000 (more in an off year) don't vote.
Too bad for the Bush haters that 45% of those 1000 (more in an off year) don't vote.
Clearly the "rope-a-dope" strategery is working... at least with 1,006 people who are home on a weekend in the summer.
Go take a look at how much Bush gave to the Dept of Energy in FY 2006.
Now, take alook at how much Bush gave to the Dept of Energy in FY 2002, FY2003, FY 2004 and FY 2005.
Now I ask you, have you seen Bush pound the table and show real anger about nuclear energy and other forms of alternative sources?
Also, considering New Orleans, do you know how many billions have been given away to corrupt foreign dictators?
As long as America does not take care of Americans, and as long as we are Marxist globalists, I refuse to support ANY administration.
To be perfectly fair, he really earned it. There was a strong impression this summer that he was out to lunch.
vacation and comes out swining
What do you want swung at? Lot's going on, not much being talked about. Instead just this constant refrain "Why doesn't Bush DO something". So let me know what your issue is. I have been saving up stuff that I come across to help get the word out. Time we start waiting for Bush and do some swinging ourselves.
To be perfectly fair, he really earned it. There was a strong impression this summer that he was out to lunch.
45% still support GWB after the unrelenting MSM attacks on GWB over the past several months.
As long as America does not take care of Americans, and as long as we are Marxist globalists, I refuse to support ANY administration.
Loosen up the tin foil hat gramps, your brain is cramping. You are the Govt. What are YOU DOING about it? Don't whine. DO.
True, but when we start taking solace in a 45% approval rating, we start sounding like....democrats! ;-)

Well considering what a knee jerk Bush hater you have always been, your opinion really doesn't matter. NY.
How about verbal support of his supporters?
What are you talking about? I'm not a Bush hater. I just call them like I see them.
No, Bush is content to sit on his rear and do nothing and say very little as the left relentlessly attacks him, attacks our troops, and attacks America.
