I always love articles like this, all the way at the bottom they let you know that 1000 people were interviewed for this nonsense, and the ones that they quote in the story are uneducated.

I really would like to understand what it is these people are complaining about, and why the media continues to report this kind of BS? Long ago, Bush addressed his concerns about energy prices, but these idiot libs were the ones griping about building new power plants, refineries, etc. They won't be satisfied until people are forced to drive cars powered by tofu, bean sprouts, and granola, then they'll start whining about them too. Now all of this is Bush's fault.

The economy is improving, despite fuel costs, the defecit has been paid down, and unemployment is decreasing.

Get informed, get real, or move to France.

These people are just nuts!!!

Sadly, there are still too many people who think being informed means blindly regurgitating whatever you just heard on CNN...

A total of 1,006 randomly selected adults were interviewed by telephone Aug. 25-28. The margin of sampling error for the results is plus or minus three percentage points.

No party breakdown, no registered/likely voters, over a weekend, over the phone. Plus or minus 3 points.

Guess what? I bet President Bush doesn't care...

and if after him ordering help for the hurrican victims 2 days BEFORE the hurricane hit...and if it is known that HE had to kick butt, and get the mayor and governor to order evacuations...

He STILL has low ratings...then it is because they are polling idiots and dems.

Too bad for the Bush haters that 45% of those 1000 (more in an off year) don't vote.

Clearly the "rope-a-dope" strategery is working... at least with 1,006 people who are home on a weekend in the summer.

The survey found Bush's job approval rating at 45 percent,

Go take a look at how much Bush gave to the Dept of Energy in FY 2006.

Now, take alook at how much Bush gave to the Dept of Energy in FY 2002, FY2003, FY 2004 and FY 2005.

Now I ask you, have you seen Bush pound the table and show real anger about nuclear energy and other forms of alternative sources?

Also, considering New Orleans, do you know how many billions have been given away to corrupt foreign dictators?

As long as America does not take care of Americans, and as long as we are Marxist globalists, I refuse to support ANY administration.

To be perfectly fair, he really earned it. There was a strong impression this summer that he was out to lunch.

What I would like to see in these polls is how people really feel. I am a die-hard conservative and I do not approve of what Bush is doing because he is NOT conservative enough. With that said, I would still vote for him tomorrow if there was an election because mostly conservative is ALWAYS better than completely liberal...

I'm sorry but I don't trust any poll not done by Rasmussen. They have been the most trustworthy over the last 5 years. Besides WaPo/ABC isn't exactly what anyone with a brain would call "objective."

Katrina and Gaza: is God speaking in New Orleans?

Letter to President Bush; re: Israel(2002!)

I can guarantee his ratings will continue to decline if the President continues his policies against Israel ( Rice: Israel's evacuation of the Gaza Strip is only a first stepSee my post in #4. Said judgement was coming on the August 18th and I really believe Katrina was a part of it.

Since they only sampled 0.00033% of the US population, I'd say the Presidents disapproval rating is actually 0.000176%

Anyone wanna check my math?

From the Washington Compost. What do you expect? They poll mostly from the DC area where John Francois had 90% of the vote. When I see polls like this it always confirms the fact to me that I made a good decision not to subscribe to this bird cage liner rag.

It seems as if the Pres has been sitting on his hands. Americans are being gouged by oil companies, there seems to be no strategy to win terror war whereas at ontime he made it clear what we were going to do. No, I am not some flaming leftist DU troll.

I'm glad that at a time when a large part of the U.S. is going through a major crisis, the media can still make time to bash the President.
