It is with heavy heart I write this...
I have finally reconnected with my best friend who is a paramedic who was sent from Georgia 2 days ago to Gulf Port, Mississippi before the hurricane hit.
He just reached me within the last 10 mins via emergency cell phone to tell me he was alive.
Thousands of bodies have been discovered throughout Mississippi in Gulf Port, Waveland,Hancock County,Bay of St.Louis.
They are hanging in trees and they are pulling them out 30 at a time. Entire families found drowned in their homes and washing up on shore.
The stories he could tell me were brief. National Guard is on the scene and arresting anyone seen on the streets.
The numbers are staggering and what I have been told tonight will shake people to their foundation as the numbers will be coming out in the next 24-hours of just how many people have actually perished in these and 3 other beach communities.

It IS everyone's own responsibility to take care of one's self along with those in the same pickle. Nearly everyone could have moved inland ~one mile IF they had so desired, by car, walking, wheelcahir, or on some's back. Most refused for some delusioned reason or another.
The difference would be from hundreds lost to many thousands who "stuck it out" as Nature buggered them.
Most post-modern people have lost their FEAR of Mother Nature as they blame America for their weather. Many of them will have died this week.
My observations are with profound sadness as I believe that thousands are dead and dying. Lack of water shall kill fast.

Sorry you aren't getting your confirming reports. For most of us, statements from officials saying they aren't even gathering bodies (NO) or expect high counts (MS) or will be counting for weeks (both) are confirmation that the situation is what it appears to be from the level of destruction. If even 10% of structures in the affected areas were occupied, the kind of numbers referenced in this post are in no way out of the question.

We should all be hoping and praying for the least number of victims.

Let me give you a quick lesson. When man sinned, he also cursed the earth. Animals started eating one another etc. Because of mans sin, nature is at war with itself and us. WE did this, not God.

My source was an interview on FOX with a Cotps engineer. The reporter intimated the levees were their responsibility, and the officer VEHEMENTLY dispelled that notion. He named the responsible entity, but I don't remember it's name.
Just ignore the idiots here, there aren't many, but they sure do stand out.
