A secondary school is to allow pupils to swear at teachers - as long as they don't do so more than five times in a lesson. A running tally of how many times the f-word has been used will be kept on the board. If a class goes over the limit, they will be 'spoken' to at the end of the lesson.
The astonishing policy, which the school says will improve the behaviour of pupils, was condemned by parents' groups and MPs yesterday. They warned it would backfire.

Yes, but you have to be able to spell it correctly as well. Up here in Canada, we make the students also use the F-word bilingually. Gotta keep the Frenchies happy.
For crying out l9oud...kids lack enough respect for their elders nowadays as it is, and now they will be allowed to swear in class too?? f#@$! (Only need to say it once for it to be effective!!)

You have got to be sh$%^ing me! When I went to school you stood up when the teacher (or, professor) came to the room out of respect. Just shows you how far have some things declined... well at least I take solace in the fact that my kids *will* know the proper meaning of the words "respect" and "honor".

So I'm sure expats like Madonna and Gwynneth will hook up with their counterparts here like Rosie O and try to inflict this on our schools. I bet some places will just love it. I'm picturing the kindergartners picking up the word from older kids and trying it out on teacher. "No, Billy, that was the 6th time you said it, so it's timeout for you." Then little Billy repeats it over and over as he walks to the timeout place.
