You have got to be sh$%^ing me! When I went to school you stood up when the teacher (or, professor) came to the room out of respect. Just shows you how far have some things declined... well at least I take solace in the fact that my kids *will* know the proper meaning of the words "respect" and "honor".
You said it. Could you imagine? We addressed them by title. No food or gum. No bad language. And those who did? Detention or suspension. Some schools don't even have detention anymore. I was shocked by that one.
