This doesn't make a whole lot of sense:

The Weathervine crew, including Jim Edds, stationed themselves late last night between Biloxi and Gulfport at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Coliseum and Convention Center. Their location on a sort of barrier island was within one mile of the shore. The convention center included a steel-reinforced parking garage several stories high, and a larger, fully enclosed coliseum structure as well as a hotel...he witnessed storm surge more than thirty feet high, water that included debris such as cars, boats, yachts, gasoline, oil, debris from the casinos (including poker chips) and other material. Jeff said the surge arrived slowly at first, built gradually, and then, with the arrival of the eastern eyewall, increased dramatically with crashing walls of water and debris. The crew was forced to relocate their vehicles to higher ground several times. Many of the hotel guests pointed out their own cars floating in the water below, along with the seacraft... They are currently eastbound on Interstate 10 approaching Pensacola.

With that amount of devastation, how were they able to get their vehicles off the island to the mainland and get on I-10? Levitation?

Each time FOX runs that "This is Bob" Enyte commercial (twice in a row), I switch channels!

Oh! I know!

I quit watching a trial on CTV b/c the Bob commercial nearly ran non-stop!

Looters should be shot and killed, then displayed publicly as a discouragement to other potential looters.

Same with the poisonous snakes and fire ants floating around.

Actually just use the fire ants on the looters. That will be a deterrent.

Hospitals do have a license to steal. imo.

Not so much as a band-aid is free. One of
those run about five bucks! Same ones you
can get in the drug stores.

Somehow, Fox and this report about drunks in a bar, cheering, just seems...tacky. But they've been fascinated with the FQ all day, so....

Did they show the video with a street full of people walking away with anything and everything they could get their hands on? Made me sick.

I saw a clip on CNN where they had arrested a woman and her buggy was full of diapers.

.....
You know, I'm sitting here thinking, Seriously, maybe some of these people have a legitmate "need" to grab some stuff. They are too poor to go anywhere, they probably were on welfare already(don't debate it now) and now they have NOTHING for maybe a month or more to come. If I were a mother of an infant I'd take what I could for the time being too. Right now, in this situation, this natural disaster, ALL THINGS ARE RELATIVE.

I disagree with you on that. I have seen some films of Japanese standing on docks or levees so they can watch the tidal wave come in. They can run pretty damn fast when it does.

Drunks in a bar are typical New Orleans. Their brains are pickled, sad to say.

Night DJ..the butterfly calls..:)

Yup. Looked like even children were involved.

Of course. "It's called teaching the kids."

No wonder they have no desire to get educated and pull themselves out of poverty and off the welfare rolls. It's easier to steal and live off the government.

I had extremely good history courses in HS and college, and I didn't learn about 'parishes' until news coverage about a hurricane years after I was out of school....

I have seen some films of Japanese standing on docks or levees so they can watch the tidal wave come in. They can run pretty damn fast when it does.

I believe you're referring to the pics that were all over the internet and falsely labled as from the December Tsunami; they actually were from a "Tidal Bore" (which is a regular occurance at high tides and the timing is known in advance) going up a river in China; that particular time it was unusually high and people had to flee from their vantage point.
