What about rivers, buildings, fallen trees, you know, those things that are hard to drive over?

Shoot them off the road.

"The Superdome won't see sustained winds higher than 120 mph...'"

I wonder if the ability to generate more detailed weather models is also allowing for the "documentation " of higher and higher instananeous speeds that are not necessarily real.

Is there any real evidence of any of the observation posts , buoys etc measuring anything near 150 mph ?

The on ly thing that I have seen jump that high is the price of oil.

Sounds like the mayor is taking the same non-action as Pres.Clinton when he had the opportunity to arrest Bin Laden.

Perfect analogy.

You're unlikely to see an actual surface measurement of Cat 4 strength winds anywhere from this storm.

I have nothing more to say to you; I asked you not to continue the insults. Yet you FRMailed me to fuss.

Please do not message me or FRMail me.

Constructive conversation apparently is not something you wish to engage in.

"Sometimes words paint an even more vivid picture! "

I can imagine. He's leaning into the wind, almost went down. The hotel/building? is locking them out now. They said better get out of there and he says you take care of your end, I will take care of my end!! Way to go Harrigan.

I don't even think NO will get that, the southwestern side of the storm is weakening.
