Category 4 Hurricane Katrina is approaching landfall in Eastern Louisiana. At 4:00AM EDT the storm's center was about 90 miles south of New Orleans.

Yep, it's really hard to get rushed to the hospital by boat. People need to be really careful.

That same radio reporter James Rose reporting 20 people stranded clinging to telephone poles. Authorities are having trouble getting to them.

They should shoot anyone taking advantage of this type of circumstance. It is the only way to make sure they get the message. The question is what part of the body to shoot at.

New video on WWL from Rampart and Canal streets in downtown New Orleans. No major flooding in that area. Typical hurricane wind damage (awnings, some cars smashed by falling bricks, downed trees), nothing catastrophic.
