Where is this 160 mph everyone is talking about?
I have to admit that those posts of 100,000 dead and a virtual doomsday were over the top and never realistic, but this is still a monster, make no mistake.
Stay safe, stay inside, batten all down the hatches and hang in there.
Bastardi's last prediction that I saw was that the bad times for NO is between 9 am and 3 pm today...but that was before this recent change in the stom.
Steve saying rain coming in sheets and hurricane winds forecast statewide in Missisppi. 12 hours worth..Pitch black where he is.
He is worried about the flooding..
Yes....down for me too.
Streetcarcam went out a few minutes ago for me.
for sure. however, both things will happen - celebration, and kvetching. and I think that both are legitimate.
Mississippi is going to get the worst of it.
That's unusual? ; )
One reporter said last night (?...time gets mixed up) said that they were not allowed to take cameras inside the Superdome.
Just told my daughter, when the excrement hits the fan, you're on your own, which is a good reason to know advanced first aid and to be well armed and trained

Perhaps when this is all over you should re-read the tale of the boy who cried wolf.
I think it died, even the server isn't there anymore
Not yet time for celebration in NO, however.
"Now that air conditioning is off, they could get rain and lighting inside the astro dome"
Good thing the Astrodome isn't being used for anything right now. :-0
Thanks for keeping in touch for so long. If it is, we will be watching for your first "apres" storm post.
Bastardi painted the worst case scenario with the eye moving to the east of NO, which is where its going. But you are correct, he predicted the flooding would come laster in the day from teh north to south winds against the lake.
LOL that would freak them out. It was an Art Bell caller though.
The wolf did arrive in the end.
And picking up. I can't believe there is power on in NO.
