Extremely dangerous Hurricane Katrina is bearing down on the North Central Gulf of Mexico and New Orleans metro area. Thousands of people did not evacuate New Orleans. Outer bands of Katrina are reaching the Louisiana coast.
Due to the size and intensity of this storm, all interests in the North Gulf of Mexico should be in their safe locations.

The point is that he was asked to not make the statements yet continued - that was the reason for the banning - not his religious beliefs.
Shouldn't we be expecting a Vortex update about now?
How can he be staying in such an unsafe area?
If something happens to him..... grrrrrrrrrrr!!!!
is there a detail for those tracks, showing the eye as going east or west of NO?
You need a new team or lawyers.
I may find some weird things in the bottom of my purse that I haven't seen for awhile. ;-) ...but I'm sanguine.
He might have a problem with you bearing false witness.
Hisssssssssssss...........
You think Janice Dean is dayago?...
Thanks. I will. Toward that end... I'm chatting still with friends in Houma (the stubborn ones) and am told that the winds haven't pick up yet. But, looking at the satellite they should be getting hurricane winds in just minutes.
That's always driven people crazy when I tell them I'm from "south of New Orleans." The reaction is always the same, "there ain't nothing south of New Orleans." Actually, Houma is south-southwest of New Orleans and it looks like they'll be getting the storm's outer bands here soon.
Bump!
PLane (AF 305) is in the eye currently. Should be getting data back any time now.
OMG--Did I just hear on WWL the Superdome without A/C could reach temps of 120º in the days following the storm?
Please tell me I had an auditory hallucination...please!
She is a fibber, I can tell you that The Authorities in Communities to be effected are notified long before you hear anything predicted on the News Media. Police Depts, fire Depts,Mayors, City Managers all have insider info well in advance. Blanco and that phlegmatic Mayor both knew Friday and hesitated like that idiot Mayor in "Jaws the Movie". I can tell you that when Andrew was approaching and the Local News media was monitoring the storm, they were downplaying it and saying it was not posing a threat when I got "the call" and had to notify My Shift Commander, and he in turn instructed me to notify EVERYONE. What a nightmare that was. The media did not get the word for several hours. You never saw people move so fast and talk so fast and try to sound very calm and professional.
Cool. Can I wring him up for being kitty meals?
I called FOX NEWS and told them to get him OUT! Got a guy that didn't know what I was talking about.
Thanks for the info.
I'm going to stay up a couple of more hours and wait til hurrican force winds start hitting NO to see where the eye is at that point...then hit it myself and get up about 5:50 AM my time, that's 6:30 AM NO time.
Carl Arredondo, ex-Weather Channel guy. He is really good.
