"nnw;soon to hit very warm water and may strenthen."
yes - and the barometer is record low and that means swell
Filled up at 2.45 her in Montgomery this afternoon.
Bastardi on FNC now, trashing the idea that its "weakening".
ROFL!
well Hemmer just said good news it has weakened a bit - but then Bastardi said no way it really hasn't
The reason they want to open the oil reserve is too make filling up their gas guzzler less painful...for a few weeks.
There's no question that the Congress will spend whatever it takes to rebuild the city. And it would be nice if some of the Eurotrash ingrates who called us "stingy" 8 months ago will shut their pieholes and send food and cash.
I've been watching Fox. Has CNN blamed it all on Bush yet?
If Olbermann shows up at 6:00 pm pdt on a Sunday , it's definately a catastrophe.
Here's the correct lyric, straight from the writer John Fogerty: "Sometimes I write words to songs because they sound cool to sing. Sometimes the listener doesn't understand what I'm singing because I'm dedicated to singing the vowel, having fun with the word sounds coming out of my mouth. `Cleaned a lot of plates in Memphis, pumped a lot of pain down in New Orleans,' is a good example. I think Tina Turner sang `tane' instead of `pain,' as in a contracted form of octane. But I knew what she meant," Fogerty said."
LOL,,
Yes we will.
I work in Lafayette 2 weeks each month...I LOVE that town! I'm in O&G based out of Houston.
There'd have been lots of traffic at the last minute regardless. I'm all the way across the country and have never heard the mayor or governor speak and I've known for a couple days a bad storm was coming and they should get out.
What I don't understand is why they aren't using all lanes to head out of town, and why in one shot, they appear to be congesting into only one or two lanes of a 10 lane freeway.
I am more in line with her being annular and just flucuating, but wanted to present all sides to keep everyone informed.
Joe Bastardi on FoxNews is giving a very animated discussion on the hurricane. Says barometric pressure is more of a key indicator than wind speed. At 904, this hurricane has still not shown any signs of weakening even though the wind speed was down a little on the last flyover.
Flash flood watch in effect south La.; heavy rain along the coast inward; in an eyewall replacement cycle--winds/speed down, but travelling over 90 degree water as it moves near coast--MAY be gaining strength; 60 ft waves along rigs; 15 ft waves at coast; Lake has RISEN 2-3 ft; windscould gust to 40 mph in N.O. tonight;winds will start getting much worse; tornado alerts coming soon; N.O. will be dangerous starting around midnight;roadways will start closing soon.
What gripes me is that we are paying at the pump on futures, not actual cost.
And it would be nice if some of the Eurotrash ingrates who called us "stingy" 8 months ago will shut their pieholes and send food and cash.
I have friends who live on Biloxi Bay about 1/4 mile from the beach...they left a wonderful home to stay in Waynesboro about 50 miles inland..
My cousin at Tulane left yesterday.
My cousins in Golden Meadow are long gone.
and my Aunt and cousins on Mobile Bay are hunkering down in an old masonry craftsman style bungalow built like a pillbox above the Fairhope pier.
and the rain is expected even here in nashville soon.
