Bastardi on FNC now, trashing the idea that its "weakening".
Bastardi also stated this is the THIRD worst hurricane ever recorded...when it weakens, what's it going to? #7 worst out of thousands??...

Dr. Walter Maestri, head of the Emergency Management Agency of Jefferson Parish (Metairie) said that if the city gets over 15 feet of water the pumps will be under water. They will not operate and it will take 60-90 days to rebuild the pumps. Which means, he said, New Orleans could be under water for as long as six months.
That's the best news I've heard all night - whenever Bastardi says a hurricane will do something, it usually does the exact opposite!
