Y'all, I would listen to Bastardi if I were you. He's been right on several weather events in the Raleigh area when everybody else said something different and they ended up being wrong.
It's kinda academic at this late stage. If you're huddled under some makeshift shelter are you gonna care less if it's blowing 167 or 169? I'm starting to think that it's too late for any weakening to have a major affect on the storm now.
