Amazing that people STILL think the only end product is gasoline...and even more amazing...they still haven't gotten a grip on the fact that a gallon of gatorade is more expensive that a gallon of gasoline...they just haven't consumed 30 gallons of gatorade week after week after week after week...any time lately.
The reason they want to open the oil reserve is too make filling up their gas guzzler less painful...for a few weeks.

What gripes me is that we are paying at the pump on futures, not actual cost.

I'm switching from gatorade to gasoline...I don't think it will taste as good though...

I don't want us touching the SOR at allI'd rather see an executive order to drill in ANWR, upgrade existing/build new refineries to increase capacity, etc., and the enviro-wackos be d*mned.

Yeah those damn trucks delivering goods sure guzzle the fuel. This isn't about SUV's, this is about keeping commerce moving.

No, it is to avoid panicked price spikes caused by those here and elsewhere who crow about unneeded fillups to avoid paying $10 extra for the next tank.
Mellow out, everyone. The patriotic thing to do is not to hoard, but to consume less for the next few weeks. And not to fill up until you are below a half a tank.
