Dinny the roadside dinosaur has found religion. The 45-foot-high concrete apatosaurus has towered over Interstate 10 near Palm Springs for nearly three decades as a kitschy prehistoric pit stop for tourists. Now he is the star of a renovated attraction that disputes the fact that dinosaurs died off millions of years before humans first walked the planet.
Dinny's new owners, pointing to the Book of Genesis, contend that most dinosaurs arrived on Earth the same day as Adam and Eve, some 6,000 years ago, and later marched two by two onto Noah's Ark. The gift shop at the attraction, called the Cabazon Dinosaurs, sells toy dinosaurs whose labels warn, "Don't swallow it! The fossil record does not support evolution."
The Cabazon Dinosaurs join at least half a dozen other roadside attractions nationwide that use the giant reptiles' popularity in seeking to win converts to creationism. And more are on the way.
"We're putting evolutionists on notice: We're taking the dinosaurs back," said Ken Ham, president of Answers in Genesis, a Christian group building a $25-million creationist museum in Petersburg, Ky., that's already overrun with model sauropods and velociraptors.
"They're used to teach people that there's no God, and they're used to brainwash people," he said. "Evolutionists get very upset when we use dinosaurs. That's their star."
The nation's top paleontologists find the creation theory preposterous and say children are being misled by dinosaur exhibits that take the Jurassic out of "Jurassic Park."
"Dinosaurs lived in the Garden of Eden, and Noah's Ark? Give me a break," said Kevin Padian, curator at the University of California Museum of Paleontology in Berkeley and president of National Center for Science Education, an Oakland group that supports teaching evolution. "For them, 'The Flintstones' is a documentary."

I will trust the word of my Pope, thank you. I suspect he knows a bit more about God than you do. I also will thank you to not say that I "follow" my Pope. I do not. I accept his teachings on Scripture as per the doctrine of my church, and it was Popes from John XXIII to John Paul II The Great who have reminded us that Scripture teaches us how to get to Heaven, not how God made the universe. Any other purpose than for following Christ's example is improper....and again, I think my Pope knows a tad more about the Bible than you or the ICS does.
You might want to e-mail Lenny Flank to get him to update Bliss. That's his website and he might appreciate the new information.....I'm just on the Yahoo group the site sponsors.....an I end up with something like fove or six digests a day from it (it's a high volume list).
No,I am asking you to provide evidence, other than the words in the Bible itself, that your interpretation of the Bible is correct.
What you are engaging in is the logical fallacy of circular reasoning- you are using the Bible to prove the Bible. That is not a compelling argument and it is not a basis for discrediting the scienctific evidence that is available to the contrary.
I am not asking you to ignore wherever you get your beliefs from, and prove your argument.
My personal beliefs as to the nature of God and religion are completely immaterial to my position regarding humans and dinosaurs interacting. I base that position on scientific evidence, not my personal feelings and emotions.
If you choose by ignorance not believe this, because you choose to have science prove everything you believe, you are in for a big disappointment and much sorrow.
The ignorance in this debate is on the part of creationists. You folks are the ones who are going out of your way to ignore all of the evidence.
Do you and others feel like if you can destroy a person's foundation, then you can destroy their faith, and at the same time prove your point and elevate yourselves?
I personally don't care what your religious beliefs might be. However, I am opposed to your conclusions regarding science. That's why I debate creationists.
By the way, just to answer your question you posed to me concerning dinosaurs, I direct you to a most interesting and exhaustive site to visit
I'm familiar with answers in genesis. Anyone who has been on the crevo threads for any amount of time will see that pretty much everything on that site has been discredited.

I trust NO man, and TIME will tell who knows what.
All souls return to the Father that sent them. Judgment does not begin for a TIME.
You have made the very point that evolution is a religion and that is what I object to tax dollars funding. Evolution is well with you cause if FITS with what you trust and believe and yet it MOCKS Christ.
That is, of course, a gross oversimplification. Such a flood would have distributed fossils more or less randomly. Dinosaurs would be mixed in with humans and such.
That's not what we see in the fossil record. We have a fossil record that supports a long-term evolutionary process lasting hundreds of millions of years.
Nope. Nobody considers Neanderthals to be homo sapiens, like us. Well, except for ignorant creationists.
The debate is whether they are a separate species or a subspecies of homo sapiens. But noboduy considers them to be regular homo sapiens.
Since I didn't say anything "cute" in my first post, nor offensive in anyway, I wonder if you are posting to the wrong person.
You answered the question they way an adult talks to a very young child. Did you really think I didn't know that reptiles and other life start small and then get larger?
God is a relational spirit that has no beginning or end. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit have been in a loving relationship before God created anything. Man and Angels have a beginning, along with our universe. God has no beginning, therefore is outside of time.
It is a requirement to worship God in spirit and truth. The New Heaven and New Earth will be eternal in the presence of God, unlike our current time based universe.
God chose to lower Himself to enter our 3 dimensions and inso doing the Son could no longer know the day or the hour of His second coming, but the Father could. Of course Jesus Christ is 100% God and had the power to exit our dimensions at any time as He exhibited on the Mount of Transfiguration. His constraints were temporarily chosen by Him, not a restriction of His Godness.
Oh, you totally missed my point then. A baby human weighs 7 lbs and an adult averages about 150. With reptiles that 21.5 to one ratio is much larger. A 150 lb reptile's baby probably weighs 1 lb. Unlike the mammal, the 1 lb reptile is 100 percent functional and independent. That's the only point I was making in response to how to get dinosaurs on the ark. Quite a few people missed that in elementary school. I did.
Since I wasn't being arrogant and you attacked me, it's pretty easy to see why I said "thanks for proving me right".
Genesis 1:31 (KJV): 'And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.'
The last day of creation. EVERY thing that God created was deemed 'good', so the rebellion of Lucifer could not have happened prior then. Ezekiel 28:13 'Thou [Lucifer] hast been in Eden the garden of God.' To say that God would create the Garden of Eden - with all it's attendant plant and animal life for Lucifer and the angels, only to destroy it, then recreate it and the Garden again is insanity. If God can create the universe to begin with, He certainly could make it in an instant, or 6 days - not require billions of years, and multiple attempts to get it right. Satan rebelled some time after Adam and Eve were created.
Catholicism mocks Christ? Catholic doctrine is that science teaches the "how" and the Bible teaches the "why". How does that "mock Christ"? And see if you can explain that without slandering my faith.
Job is believed to have been a contemporary of Abraham. The Biblical descriptions of Leviathan and Behemoth would qualify them as dinos. Job was antediluvian. Dinos were antediluvian.
Job 40:15-19
15 Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox.
16 Lo now, his strength [is] in his loins, and his force [is] in the navel of his belly.
17 He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together.
18 His bones [are as] strong pieces of brass; his bones [are] like bars of iron.
19 He [is] the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his sword to approach [unto him].
Job 41:1-10
1 Canst thou draw out leviathan with an hook? or his tongue with a cord [which] thou lettest down? 2 Canst thou put an hook into his nose? or bore his jaw through with a thorn?
3 Will he make many supplications unto thee? will he speak soft [words] unto thee?
4 Will he make a covenant with thee? wilt thou take him for a servant for ever?
5 Wilt thou play with him as [with] a bird? or wilt thou bind him for thy maidens?
6 Shall the companions make a banquet of him? shall they part him among the merchants? 7 Canst thou fill his skin with barbed irons? or his head with fish spears?
8 Lay thine hand upon him, remember the battle, do no more.
9 Behold, the hope of him is in vain: shall not [one] be cast down even at the sight of him?
10 None [is so] fierce that dare stir him up: who then is able to stand before me?
"Leviathan" and "Behemoth" were dinosaurs? What criteria do you use to define a dinosaur?
Job 40:15-19 15 Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox.
Over-sized reptiles. They recently found T-Rex bones with soft tissue inside. 65 million years is comedy.
Now, now, why is that you must resort to name calling.
But, as an 'ignorant creationists' I would have to, not very respectfully I might add, disagree with both your post.
"Ignorant creationist" is not name-calling. Just a simple statement of fact.
