Dinny the roadside dinosaur has found religion. The 45-foot-high concrete apatosaurus has towered over Interstate 10 near Palm Springs for nearly three decades as a kitschy prehistoric pit stop for tourists. Now he is the star of a renovated attraction that disputes the fact that dinosaurs died off millions of years before humans first walked the planet.
Dinny's new owners, pointing to the Book of Genesis, contend that most dinosaurs arrived on Earth the same day as Adam and Eve, some 6,000 years ago, and later marched two by two onto Noah's Ark. The gift shop at the attraction, called the Cabazon Dinosaurs, sells toy dinosaurs whose labels warn, "Don't swallow it! The fossil record does not support evolution."
The Cabazon Dinosaurs join at least half a dozen other roadside attractions nationwide that use the giant reptiles' popularity in seeking to win converts to creationism. And more are on the way.
"We're putting evolutionists on notice: We're taking the dinosaurs back," said Ken Ham, president of Answers in Genesis, a Christian group building a $25-million creationist museum in Petersburg, Ky., that's already overrun with model sauropods and velociraptors.
"They're used to teach people that there's no God, and they're used to brainwash people," he said. "Evolutionists get very upset when we use dinosaurs. That's their star."
The nation's top paleontologists find the creation theory preposterous and say children are being misled by dinosaur exhibits that take the Jurassic out of "Jurassic Park."
"Dinosaurs lived in the Garden of Eden, and Noah's Ark? Give me a break," said Kevin Padian, curator at the University of California Museum of Paleontology in Berkeley and president of National Center for Science Education, an Oakland group that supports teaching evolution. "For them, 'The Flintstones' is a documentary."

Reptiles grow their whole life and start out much much smaller than the mammal infant to adult ratio.
I hope so!
The sheep almost made it; but she couldn't cook.
TarBaby Alert!!
Archishop Ussher calculated that the earth was created on October 23, 4004 BC at 9:00 AM--and I assume this was Pacific Daylight Time. On October 23, 1972, I was a student at Occidental College, and my geology class met at 9:00 AM. At the start of class, the students threw a surprise party, which was covered by a television news crew from NBC, to celebrate the anniversary of the creation of the earth.
Only if you are an evolutionist.
How do you know that? Where you there?
Do you know how big the Ark was? If so, your question is not a question it is simply a foolish statement, if not, go to the book of Genesis and bear in mind that a cubit is either 18 inches or 22 inches.
Yup, Hebrews 9:27
I do not believe in evolution.
Evolution at its base removes the perfection that is Christ. That being said doesn't mean I will follow blindly what man claims the Bible says.
After a world wide flood, you would expect to find millions and millions of dead things all over the world covered by layers of rock and mud, Ah, come to think of it, that's jsut what we find, millions and millions of dead things all over the earth covered by layers of mud and rocks.
"Post-Flood climatic change, lack of food, disease, and mans activities caused many types of animals to become extinct. The dinosaurs, like many other creatures, died out. Why the big mystery about dinosaurs?"
Why did God command Noah take two of every living creature on the Ark only to let the post-flood changes kill them off? Did He change His mind?
And my favorite is "The probem with missing links is that they are still missing"
>>So, when someone comes to choose to believe that Christ is his Savior, it is really God who is determining that belief?<<
Essentially, yes. The Holy Spirit opens your eyes to your iniquity, and gives you a regenerate heart that desires to please God. We are born at a natural enmity towards God, and only He can cause us to see the light of His truth. If we could achieve salvation on our own, by our own will, then there would be no need for Christ, and that would mean that God is dependent upon us for our salvation. The moment that He becomes dependent upon us for anything, He ceases to be all powerful and all knowing. This would also make our salvation a fruit of our works, and not born out of utter, irresistible Grace.
This is the foundation of Divine Election, and what causes a split among many Christian churches (Calvism vs. Arminism or Monergism vs. Synergism). It's not as simple as making a choice to believe in God, as the unsaved cannot simply generate faith on his or her own, it takes the power of the Holy Spirit to awakene that faith.
Acts 2:39 - For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.
Acts 13:48 - When the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and honored the word of the Lord; and all who were appointed for eternal life believed.
Galatians 1:15, 16a - But when he who had set me apart before I was born, and who called me by his grace, was pleased to reveal his Son to me...
Scripture, both Old and New Testament are peppered heavily with evidence of effectual calling. If you'd like, I can FReepmail you some more tonight when I have more time.
>>Can we choose to think about or do anything that God does not want us to think or do?<<
Of course. Our "default" nature is bent towards sin, and even the saved Christian has indwelling sin that can entrap and captivate him if he chooses to make improper decisions. Christians still sin. Where the difference is, however, lies in how we have reconciled our sins with our creator vs. the unsaved who have not, and still sin with unrepentant impunity. This is why "self-control" is the last and greatest fruit of the spirit (Galatians 5)
>>So, we do have a will? And we can act in ways that go against what god desires of us? <<
Yes we do, I never said we didn't. We are free to make decisions, however, we do not control results.
>>Either we have free will and we can think and act in ways that God does not desire, or we don't and all of the results of our thoughts and actions are what god desires and ordains.<<
You're not seeing the difference between decisions and results. Your two above sentences are both correct. We make decisions, but God, in His omniscient and omnipotent sovereignty, knows how we will respond, and already knows how the situation will work out.

I had a hard time accepting this truth as well. Most people do. But the more I studied it, and the more I searched the Scriptures, the more it makes perfect and complete sense.

"The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits." - Genesis 6:15
So the Ark was between 450 and 550 feet long, 75 to 92 feet wide, 45 to 55 inches high. I think asking how the dinosaurs, and all the other animals for that matter, fit into the Ark is a valid question.
